When it comes to her boyfriend, Vanessa Hudgens has little patience for nonsense.
The 25-year-old was quick to defend her beau of two years Austin Butler as late night staple Jay Leno made a few harmless and ridiculous jokes at the hunky actor's expense.
During Wednesday's taping of The Tonight Show, the Spring Breakers star put an abrupt end to the jocular teasing after the comic called super-fit Austin a 'big fat guy'.

Looking demure and elegant in a form-fitting strapless dress, the star pinned her hair into a small bun as she wore dangling earrings and a light coating of make-up.
Leno, 63, began by saying facetiously: 'You know I saw a picture this guy... I don't get it.'
Surprised, Vanessa shot back: 'You don't get it?'

The late night legend then pulled a photo of 22-year-old Austin into frame, where the Carrie Diaries

Vanessa exclaimed: 'I'm so lucky he's not here because he'd be terrified.'
Not skipping a beat Jay jocularly said: 'Look at that big fat guy!'
Adding with a twinkle in his eye: 'I can't believe it.'
But Hudgens quickly protested demanding:'Take it away!
Then rising to Austin's defence, she explained: 'Um, no. He's amazing!'
Vanessa met Austin on High School Musical when she was still romantically involved with her co-star Zac Efron.
Vanessa and Zac broke up in December 2010 when their work schedules got in the way of their relationship.
'Long-distance relationships are hard no matter what,' Vanessa told Shape magazine after the split.
Adding: 'When you don't have face-to-face time, it's just different. Having an iPhone helped, but it wasn't the same.'
But it seems Austin made a good enough impression, for Vanessa started dating him in September 2011 and showing him off in public ever since.
