Spooky: Lucy Beale appears in ghost form in the new trailer for EastEnders ahead of the 30th anniversary week
Creepy: Suspect Max Branning walks by the park in Walford in the opening of the trailer
It opens with Max Branning (Jake Wood) walking by the park where a single tire swing is moving on it's own.
His daughter Abi Branning (Lorna Fitzgerald) is browsing the shelves at the local shop, but sees the caps on drinks bottles twisting off on their own.
Jane Clarke (Laurie Brett) looks up from serving customers at the chippy to see hand prints on the steamed window with no obvious owner nearby.
Movement: A single tire swing moves back and forth on its own as he walks by
Eerie: Abi Branning browses the shelves at the local shop but something catches her eye
Impossible: Bottle tops unscrew themselves with no visible person doing it
Shock: Jane Beale looks up from serving customers at the chippy, drawing Ian's attention
As the lights flicker the hand prints scraped down as if someone is dragging their nails down the window pane when the sound of a baby crying echoes through the square.
A lonesome Denise Fox (Diane Parish) looks up at the closing bell of the Qeeen Vic, ringing all by itself.
As the residents congregate outside the pub their focus is taken by the banging gate of the Square.
Where did they come from? Hand prints appear on the window then scratch down the pane
Then the ghost of Lucy Beale (Hetti Bywater) appears, hovering in the sky and looking down on her family, friends and killer.
The trailer follows on from the clue revealed at the National Television Awards, that the last thing Lucy heard before her death was the sound of her music box.
There are currently 14 suspects in the 19-year-old's murder including her own brother Peter and father Ian.
Chilling: Denise Fox sits alone at the bar at the Queen Vic and is drawn to a noise
Who rang it? The closing bell rings and swings on it's own
Gathered: The residents arrive on Albert Square to see a gate banging back and forth on it's own
Her former lover Max is a top suspect too after she dumped hi on Good Friday and he made great effort to destroy evidence connecting him to the murder.
Executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins has promised 'spectacular' drama in the week of special shows for the soap's 30th anniversary including a live episode on February 19th.
EastEnders airs on BBC One at 7.30pm on Tuesday and Thursday, and 8pm on Monday and Friday
