A long way from Chester! Ex-Hollyoaks stars Gemma Merna and Jennifer Metcalfe flaunt their shapely bikini bodies in Dubai
They're used to the colder climes of the north of England, after years of appearing in Chester-based soap Hollyoaks.
But Jennifer Metcalfe and her former co-star Gemma Merna are clearly better suited to a sunnier destination, as they thoroughly enjoyed themselves on a beach holiday in Dubai.
The striking actresses - who played sisters Carmel and Mercedes McQueen on the programme for years - worked their bikinis hard as they played around on the beach during their stay at the luxury Le Royal Meridien hotel.

Brunette beauty Jennifer complemented her dark locks and flattering tan with a striking red two-piece.
The top was cut in a classic triangle shape, and the bottoms were very high-cut up her leg, showing off her famously shapely hips and pancake flat tum.
And newly-dark haired Gemma opted for a similar choice of swimwear but in a creamy white shade, her svelte curves, taut and toned tum and ample chest working hard as she frolicked across the sand and in the water.

The actresses both wore their hair down in matching poker straight styles, and they continued to resemble each other almost like real sisters with their huge sunglasses, gleaming white smiles and identical poses.
Together they ran across the beach with their hands in the air, kicking up the surf, leaving red bikini-clad Jennifer markedly resembling a 1990s Baywatch lifeguard.
Jennifer, 31, and Gemma, 30, went for a winter getaway together in the most depressing month of the year, and it looks like the sunny holiday did them the world of good.
The former Hollyoaks favourites had both had a busy past year, as both of them finally left the Channel 4 serial after spending much of the past decade as the McQueen sisters.

Jennifer left in November 2014 after her character Mercedes was stabbed to death by Freddie Roscoe, her sudden departure following eight years leaving fans distraught.
And, just the week before that shock death, Gemma's on-screen alter-ego Carmel was killed in a freak train crash.
But after years of working day in, day out, they were clearly thoroughly enjoying their time off at the spectacular location.
The women were not joined for their fun-filled beach excursion by their respective other halves, although they were in Dubai with them for the break.
Gemma has previously admitted that she is keen to start a family with husband Ian Minton, and that it may happen this year.
She told MailOnline: 'We’d love a family but this year I’ve been focusing on my career so we’re looking at next year or the year after'.
