She recently called off her engagement to childhood sweetheart John Sage.

And Georgia May Foote was celebrating both her new-found single status and her impending exit from Coronation Street as she hit the town in Manchester on Monday night alongside several of her co-stars.

The 24-year-old Coronation Street actress donned a figure-hugging, plum-coloured dress to enjoy some casual beverages at the Dock Bar.

Georgia - who has played young mum Katy Armstrong on the ITV soap for nearly five years - was joined by her former on-screen love interest Sam Aston, who stars as Chesney

Other young cast members who turned up to support their pal included Brooke Vincent (Sophie Webster) and her on-screen sister, Cherylee Houston (Izzy Armstrong).

Hayley Tamaddon, who plays Andrea Beckett, was also in attendance alongside her new boyfriend, Hollyoaks actor Joe Tracini.

Georgia was looking lovely on her big night out, opting for a sensible, long-sleeved woolen dress paired with opaque tights.

She set off the casual number with a gold necklace and simple ankle boots and went for a natural, post-work make-up look.

It was recently alleged that Georgia had decided to leave Corrie in the hopes of finding acting work in Hollywood.

She supposedly made the big revelation at her official leaving party, where she also told her co-stars she had parted ways with her plumber fiancé John, who she became engaged to in 2013.

'She had her leaving do from Corrie last week. She was telling everyone they'd split up and she was looking forward to a future acting career in America,' a source told The Sun.

'Everyone was very surprised because she has always been very happy with him and never been interested in a showbiz lifestyle.'

The actress, who rose to fame on teen drama series Grange Hill before joining Coronation Street in 2010, was living in Bolton with her man before they parted ways.
