What a sparkler! Lady Gaga shares snap of stunning diamond ring after Taylor Kinney proposed on Valentine's Day

Lady Gaga proudly showed off her stunning heart-shaped diamond engagement ring on Monday after accepting her boyfriend Taylor Kinney's marriage proposal on Valentine's Day.

The Born This Way singer posted the image on Instagram with the words 'He gave me his heart on Valentine's Day, and I said YES!'

US Weekly broke the news that the couple, who've been dating since 2011, plan to tie the knot.

Kinney, 33, who met the performer when he starred in her You and I music video four years ago, popped the question on Saturday.The newly-engaged couple were seen celebrating afterwards with a romantic dinner at Lady Gaga's family restaurant Joanne Trattoria on Manhattan's upper west Side.

It caps off an amazing week for the singer and song-writer who sang on stage at the Grammys last Sunday with Tony Bennett and announced on Thursday she's been invited to perform live at the Oscars this coming Sunday.

On Friday, the day before the big proposal, the six-time Grammy winner was seen leaving her New York apartment building clutching a bunch of red roses.

She also debuted a new shorter hair cut and her ring finger was clearly empty.

In November 2013, Lady Gaga hinted to Ellen Degeneres that Kinney is her soul mate.

'He's a hidden weirdo. He is extremely strange, actually, and we complement each others' weirdness,' she said during an interview on Ellen's TV show.

Although Lady GaGa and Kinney are rarely seen in public together, they seem to have been deeply committed since going through a rough patch int heir relationship in 2012.

It was rumored in October that the couple had held an intimate commitment ceremony at the same restaurant where they got engaged in front of a handful of close family and friends.

In December, the Marry the Night singer told Howard Stern that she's know the Zero Dark Thirty star is 'the right guy' for her.

Kinney, meanwhile, has spoken about his new fiancee in equally gushing terms and said she pushes him to be better and is always in his corner. He said they each believe in the other's work and support each other's careers.

Speaking to US Weekly, that actor said in April 2014 that' I love what she does and her work and music and charity. She inspires so many people including myself.'

I want to kiss the bride: Lady GaGa first met on the set of the video for her hit You and I in 2011. The singer told Howard Stern in December she'd definitely marry the actor if he proposed.
