The happy couple, who have been dating since December 2012, are planning a traditional wedding in the UK this summer.
And while the former TOWIE star and the soap beauty toyed with the idea of hosting their nuptials overseas, they came to the conclusion that it simple 'wouldn't have felt right' to be abroad for their big day.
Mark, 27, told Hello!: 'For both of us it wouldn't have felt right. That's not like a real wedding in a church in the way our mums and dads got married and we want our families to be there.
'This day will be how we always dreamt and hoped it would be.'
While Michelle, best-known for playing Tina McIntyre in ITV1's Coronation Street, explained the couple had both 'got our fairytale', she admitted finding her perfect dress wasn't quite as easy as she had hoped.
Bride to be: Michelle will tie the knot with Mark this summer and cannot wait to become Mrs Wright
She said: 'I couldn't find one that I really liked, so instead I took inspiration from various aspects of dresses I loved and it's been made for me.'
And Mark - who finished fourth in last year's Strictly Come Dancing - explained the pressure is now on for the couple's first dance, as everyone has such high expectations when it comes to his fancy footwork.
He joked: 'Actually it's even worse as people are now thinking, "Oh he's going to be well good".
'Everyone has high expectations now but it shouldn't be a show dance. I want the music to come on, and it to be just Michelle and me.'
Mark and Michelle met on a new year's holiday to Dubai back in December 2012.
The TV presenter later popped the question to the raven-haired beauty when they returned to the Middle Eastern holiday hotspot in September 2013.
