The duo have been plagued with romance rumours since their initial pairing on the show in September, despite the fact Aliona has been happily married to sales director Vincent Kavanagh for four years.
Jay, who defeated Kellie Bright and Georgia May Foote in taking the crown, has persistently denied the reports, previously insisting: 'We have all had a laugh about it', although the duo's confession of platonic love will no doubt set tongues wagging.
Speaking to Daily Star, Jay said: 'There is so much I want to say. I’ll just say that I love you to pieces' to which Aliona responded: 'I love you too.'
Prior to their expression of mutual adoration, many viewers allege the duo exchanged a kiss when news of their victory was announced although the alleged smooch is causing a divide among eagle-eyed spectators, with some claiming it was merely a close hug.

The confession comes as reports surfaced claiming Jay is set to rake in huge money following his triumphant stint on Strictly.
The Wanted singer, who found fame when the boy band formed in 2009, reportedly pocketed £75,000 for his appearance on the show and is set for a further host of lucrative deals on top of his appearance on the Strictly tour.
He is said to be eyeing a solo music career, like his former bandmate Nathan Sykes, and is apparently set for appearances in West End productions alongside a host of TV opportunities.

A source told Mirror: 'He’s most keen to take on a West End role. It’s very early days but this is definitely something he’ll look at pursuing because it combines his love of singing and dancing.
'He doesn’t care about celebrity status. He’s been offered every reality TV show going and turned them all down. But he is open to doing some music-related TV presenting. He’s been asked to do something for The Brits next year.
'In the meantime he’s had lots of commercial offers from hair and male grooming companies. When he makes a decision it’s always very considered, but he has a lot of options right now.'

Disbelief: After hearing the incredible news of his victory, the stunned star could hardly utter his words as he began to well up
Disbelief: After hearing the incredible news of his victory, the stunned star could hardly utter his words as he began to well up
Saturday night was momentous for Jay when he took home the trophy with Aliona, who also won the show in 2011 with McFly star Harry Judd.
After hearing the incredible news of his victory, the stunned star, who shot to fame with The Wanted in 2009, could hardly utter his words as he began to well up and he yet again gave a nod to his beloved dance partner.
He said: 'I feel spaced out and really weird. [Speaking to Aliona] You deserve it so much. I just think it was one of the most special things I've ever done with the most special person. Anyone who watched us and helped us get here... Thank you.'

The hunky singer's victory came as a shock as he was placed at the bottom of the leader board at the end of his final three performances, with Georgia taking the second spot and Kellie sitting on top, leading to uncertainty over his fate.
Against all odds however, the public voted in favour of Jay - much to the joy of both him and Aliona.
Opening the show, he was asked to repeat his Quickstep from week four, which saw him awarded his lowest score of the entire season due to a series of mistakes, which were a combination of sloppy footwork and falling behind on complex steps.

Dancing to The Who's 1965 hit My Generation during his second chance dance, Jay performed a fantastic rendition of the complicated and often-trying routine.
Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli, Len Goodman and Darcey Bussell were quick to dish out their expert opinion.
Bruno was glowing with praise for the opening dance although he insisted there were mistake-laden moments - although the 60-year-old choreographer and dancer went on to blame Aliona.
He said: 'When you go so fast... I think it was Aliona who went wrong. You are Twinkletoes out there. The quality is so high... When it comes to ability you are incredible.'
He was then awarded a commendatory 36 points for his performance - a fantastic opening for the show.

The next set for the dancers was the 'Show Dance' where Jay and Aliona put on an impressive performance to a jazzy version of The Weeknd's hit I Can't Feel My Face.
Len insisted he found the performance boring and was seemingly unimpressed by the trendy show which was a compilation of the duo's favourite dances.
Although he rarely dishes out negative comments, Bruno said he was anticipating a 'superhero yet it was more of a pick'n'mix' while acid-tongued Craig concurred by insisting it was 'disappointing'.
After the moves, the deflated judges awarded the duo 35 points, which dragged them down in the hyper-competitive leader board.

In his final dance, The Newark-born star danced the Pas Doble to Bon Jovi's 2000 smash hit It's My Life in a bid to become the 2015 Strictly champion.
A clearly impressed Len said: 'From week one for me you've been the most consistent of the couples but you have been so consistent... You come out and give it your all. It was a great Pase Doble and I've loved watching you.'
Usually acerbic Craig concurred, saying: 'When you first started you had no personality at all when you started this programme... and now you have drive, you have passion and I love, love, love watching you.'
Darcey gushed about the performance as she said: 'I can see there's a sensitive [man inside] but underneath the strength the shaping - for me you're my number one' and he was then awarded with a near-perfect 39.

Jay was first propelled to the forefront of the potential winners as he performed an outstanding Jive inspired by Quentin Tarantino's 1994 hit Pulp Fiction in the movie-themed third week.
To the tune of 1993 hit Misirlou by Dick Dale, Jay and Aliona danced an incredible take on the classic jive and scored the first 10 of the whole competition.
Many expected the duo to repeat the dance on Saturday night although Aliona confirmed earlier in the week that she and Jay wanted to keep the dance as a perfect memory.
She took to Twitter to write: 'Our jive was such a perfect moment for @JayMcGuiness & I that we'd love to keep it as that in everyone's memory.'
Great duo: In his final dance, Jay danced the Pase Doble to Bon Jovi's smash hit It's My Life in a bid to become the 2015 Strictly champion
