TEAM GB'S ULTIMATE GIRL GANG
Deemed the greatest show on earth, the Olympics even makes sports fans out of those who show no interest in meets, matches or competitions usually. The reason? Spectating comes no more inspirational than witnessing the sheer determination, sacrifices made and the hard work put in to gain an Olympic podium position. For Rio 2016, Team GB has assembled the greatest girl gang on earth. From the fastest woman in British history (who happens to be only 20) to the girls ready to flip, somersault and splash into the medal tables, meet Miss Vogue's ten girls to watch as they go for gold:Dina Asher Smith, 20
What To Know: Dina might be making her Olympic debut in Rio but she is certainly no stranger to holding her own on the race track. The south London-born athlete is currently the fastest British woman of all time across 60m, 100m and - after breaking Kathy Cook’s 1984 record with a 22.07 second finish - 200m. This hugely impressive time also makes her the quickest teen to run the distance ever. Having won medals, world titles and dominated the junior tier, Rio is Dina’s chance to truly go for gold.
Laura Trott, 24
What To Know: Coming to this year's games already wielding two gold medals from London 2012 (and an OBE), Laura is one of Team GB's greatest hopes of securing a prime podium position this time round. With her boyfriend Jason Kenny also in contention for a selection of cycling medals, this blonde bombshell is more than ready and, as the sports commentators confirm, capable to defend her double Olympic title.
Lois Toulson, 16
What To Know: How did you spend the summer after your GCSEs? Going for gold like Lois? Maybe not. This Leeds-born diver will arrive at her first Olympics as European and British champion, with the prospect of her name ranking high on the diving leaderboard looking likely. Exam results still pending.
Charley Hull, 20
What To Know: Currently Britain's number one female golfer, Charley is no stranger to the international playing field. Having amassed a grand total of £600,000 in winnings, she heads to Rio with a serious chance of coming home with a medal. Having left school at just 13 to focus on her swing, taking home one of the first golfing medals in 112 years is well within her reach.
Katarina Johnson-Thompson, 23
What To Know: What better way to confirm you're ready to go for gold than smashing your country's record just one year before the games begin? Katarina did just that at the 2015 European Indoor Championships earning 5000 points in the pentathlon. As she heads to her second round of Olympic games, Katarina's quest for a heptathlon medal has never looked more convincing.
Heather Watson, 24
What To Know: Fresh from her doubles win at Wimbledon, Guernsey born Heather is ready to add an Olympic medal to her trophy cabinet. Now seeded as Britain's number two and boasting a whole host of Grand Slam wins and notable performances, she's ready to prove her worth. Heather, however will you squeeze a medal into one of your Alexander McQueen clutches?
