She was presented with a prestigious BFI Fellowship last year.

So Cate Blanchett was naturally the guest of honour at the IWC Schaffhausen Dinner in Honour of the BFI at Rosewood London on Wednesday night, turning heads in a dramatic dress.

The 47-year-old actress looked incredible in the ruffled number, featuring eye-catching ruching on the shoulders and a low-cut neckline.

The striking garment boasted a floor-length black skirt and was pulled together with a bright red bow at the waist.

Cate was the centre of attention as she made her grand arrival, adding some A-list star power to the event.

The glizty gala was hosted by BFI CEO Amanda Nevill and presented by comedian Rob Brydon.

The £50,000 Bursary Award is presented in recognition of outstanding British talent, supporting emerging writer or director in their fledgeling career.

This year, Joseph a. Adesunloye, Hope Dickson Leach, Alice Lowe and Paul Anton Smith are battling it out for the prize.

Ben Roberts, director of the BFI Film Fund, said: 'All four filmmakers are on very different paths in terms of their filmmaking — each has already developed an enviable confidence and style and this bursary would greatly benefit any of them.'

Also putting in a striking appearance was Mr Selfridge actress Sai Bennett, who ensured all eyes were on her in a glamorous black jumpsuit.

Sai is thought to be dating Game Of Thrones star Alfie Allen after the pair were seen hand-in-hand on a romantic stroll around Rome in February.

While Alfie seemed to enjoy himself on the trip, he couldn't resist making a joke about his ideal date, posting a picture of footballer Danny Welbeck with the caption 'Happy Valentines Day'.

Also remaining coy about her amorous trip abroad, Sai took to Instagram to share a montage of the sights she'd seen on their getaway.

The pair have so far kept tight-lipped about rumours of a romance and it is not known whether they are still together.

Sai is fresh from Paris Fashion Week, where she enjoyed a VIP invitation to the Dior show.

So it came as no surprise to see Eleanor Tomlinson leading the host of glamorous guests as she prepared to honour the best behind the scenes talent in British Television at the BAFTA Craft Awards.

Cutting a striking figure in a classic little black dress, the 23-year-old Poldark actress dazzled as she made her way into the the Brewery in London on Sunday to watch the ceremony.

Not afraid to flash the flesh in her elegant gown, Eleanor exhibited a hint of her toned frame with a daring side cut out that exposed her flawless porcelain complexion.

Cutting across her shoulders with a square neckline, the Ava from Solace London dress remained demure in design, whilst still showing off her enviable figure.

Flaring out to just below the knee, the full skirted gown offered a peek at her lean pins which were elongated by a pair of black barely there heels.

Sporting a slick of eyeliner across the lid of her baby blue eyes, Eleanor was a vision of beauty on the night, beaming broadly with her rose coloured plump pout.

Keeping her accessories simple for the outing, she opted for minimal yet breathtaking jewellery, dazzling under the lights with her diamond chandelier earrings.

Allowing her dress to remain the focus of her ensemble she carried a small gold clutch bag in her perfectly manicured hands whilst a flute of champagne was grasped in the other.

Cosying up to her brother Ross on the evening, the Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging actress seemed in good spirits ahead of the ceremony which will honour the unseen stars who work behind the scenes on some of Britain's most loved television programmes.

The ceremony will be hosted for the fifth time by Stephen Mangan.

Also heading up the glamorous guests on the evening was former Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter, who also dazzled in a little black dress.

Flashing hints of her tanned and toned figure with strips of mesh material across the bust, stomach and arms of the gown, the 28-year-old left little to the imagination as she headed into the ceremony.

Clinging to her perky posterior, the figure-hugging gown also showed off the star's long and lean legs, which were elongated by a pair of nude patent court heels.

Sweeping her golden tresses away to show off her pretty face, Jorgie wore her glossy locks in a high ponytail that tumbled in thick bouncy waves past the nape of her neck.

Framing her almond shaped eyes with a thick layer of kohl, the blonde beauty enhanced her peepers with a strong offering of smokey eyeshadow, whilst nude gloss lined her plump pout.

Turning forward to reveal a daring thigh high split, the blonde beauty was also unafraid to exhibit her lean legs which were elongated by a pair of nude platform heels.

Nipping in at her tiny waist, the flattering gown perfectly complemented her petite figure whilst ensuring she stood out amongst the guests on the evening.
