The £50,000 Bursary Award is presented in recognition of outstanding British talent, supporting emerging writer or director in their fledgeling career.

This year, Joseph a. Adesunloye, Hope Dickson Leach, Alice Lowe and Paul Anton Smith are battling it out for the prize.
Ben Roberts, director of the BFI Film Fund, said: 'All four filmmakers are on very different paths in terms of their filmmaking — each has already developed an enviable confidence and style and this bursary would greatly benefit any of them.'
Also putting in a striking appearance was Mr Selfridge actress Sai Bennett, who ensured all eyes were on her in a glamorous black jumpsuit.
