A Self-less act: Cheryl Cole posts fun backstage snaps as she prepares to play a part in Sport Relief 2014
The ink on her new X Factor contract has only just dried, but long before she returns to the judging panel Cheryl Cole will be throwing her hat into the ring for Sport Relief – a fact she’s been documenting in a series of fun snaps.
The 30-year-old singer is preparing to play a part in the event, which helps raise money for charities in the UK and overseas, when it kicks off on Friday.
Adding to her picture messaging account on Tuesday, Cheryl shared a shot in which she is seen getting prepared for a rehearsal.

Sport Relief will get underway this weekend – and a host of stars will be taking part as the organization endeavours to better the £50 million raised in 2012.
Those include former England captain David Beckham, who tries his hand at acting in a special episode of Only Fools And Horses.
The football ambassador plays his superstar status for laughs in a café scene with show regulars Sir David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst.

Cheryl will return for series eleven of The X Factor later this year – and according to The Sun she’s keen for the show to have a major overhaul, involving getting rid of the original group categories and dividing the contestants in a different style.
A source said: ‘Cheryl has been very vocal about ideas and changes that could liven things up.’
Another added: ‘It’s far too early to say what, if any, changes might be made – all aspects of the format are being looked at to make the best show possible.’
It is said she’s being paid a cool £1.5 to return to the ITV show as a judge for the talent competition – a lot more than the meagre-looking £500k it’s reported Kylie Minogue receives for The Voice.
