Staying true to her roots! Jennifer Lawrence shows her support for her hometown in Louisville Cardinals jersey

Jennifer Lawrence has become a household name in the past few years.
But the 23-year-old actress isn't too big of a star to remember where she came from – showing off her support for the Louisville Cardinals, the collegiate athletic teams from her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, in a photo posted to Twitter.
With the college basketball tournaments that make up March Madness upon us, the Hunger Games star cheered on her team in a red scoop-neck T-shirt with 'Louisville Cardinals' emblazoned across the front.

She flashed an 'L' sign with her right hand as she beamed at the camera in a photo posted to Twitter by the team’s Director Of Social Media And Engagement, Nick Stover, on Thursday.
He captioned the image: 'Jennifer Lawrence wishes good luck to her hometown @GoCards at the start of @NCAA @marchmadness today! #L1C4 #UofL.'
Perhaps it was the American Hustle star's support that helped the team succeed, as they defeated the Manhatten Jaspers 71 to 64 that evening at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.
Red hot! She may not have taken home her second Oscar, but the 23-year-old actress won the fashion stakes in her red strapless gown as she attended the Academy Awards on March 2, where she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in American Hustle

Clearly Stover believed so, tweeting Jennifer's image again hours later, writing: 'Thank you Jennifer Lawrence for motivating #Louisville to win tonight! #L1C4 #GoCards #CardNation.'
While the stunning star may have missed out on an Oscar following her recent nomination for her portrayal of Rosalyn Rosenfeld in American Hustle - losing out to newcomer Lupita Nyong'o for 12 Years A Slave - the 2013 Best Actress Academy Award-winner will have plenty more opportunities
in the future, with as many as six new big-budget projects already in the works.

She's currently filming the latest instalment in the Hunger Games franchise - Mockingjay: Part 2 - while she recently wrapped up X-Men sequel Days Of Future Past.
She's also been announced in the lead role in Serena, which will see her team up once again with American Hustle and Silver Linings Playbook co-star Bradley Cooper.
Other rumoured roles surrounding the in-demand star include dramas Burial Rites and The Glass Castle.
