No ordinary job: Clips of Michelle Keegan in her new show Ordinary Lies have been revealed in the new BBC 2015 trailer
Wearing a purple bikini she can be seen jumping into a pool with co-star Cherrelle Skeete.
The pair play receptionist/wannabe WAG Tracey and Viv, respectively in the story of 'torrid lies and secrets'.
The new six-part series, which also stars Jason Manford as Michelle's suspected love interest is, as the title suggests, about ordinary people and their ordinary lies.
An official press release from the national broadcaster described it as, 'Set on the shopfloor and in the offices of a motor showroom – Ordinary Lies tells the story of how desperation can lead to drastic solutions, even in the most everyday of workplaces.
Leap into the unknown! This will be Michelle's first role since saying goodbye to her character of six years, Tina McIntyre
'Following an ordinary group of colleagues and friends, the witty drama reveals the extraordinary, gradual unravelling of each individual’s torrid lies and secrets which, on occasion, lead to life-shattering consequences.
'As the series progresses, the tangled web of tall tales result in revelations, shocks and stunning confessions revealing some difficult dilemmas that the characters must face up to. Does this team that see each other every day, really know each other at all?'
Other household names include former EastEnders star Jo Joyner, Sally Lindsay, Mackenzie Crook and Max Beesley.
The drama - which was written by Bafta-winner Danny Brocklehurst - follows the lives of shifty car salesmen, played by Manford, Joyner and Crook, and other staff at the firm.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: ‘The characters are likeable but they don't always tell the truth. Some lies start off huge, others are tiny and grow.
‘It shows what happens when the lies people tell to keep their heads above water spin out of control with sometimes tragic, sometimes funny consequences.’
