Ola Jordan will lift the lid on 'curse of Strictly' in explosive tell all book
The dancer will reveal all the backstage bitching, rows over pay and hours and the illicit romances that have plagued the show
Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Ola Jordan is writing a tell all book about the show’s secrets - lifting the lid on the “curse” of Strictly in the process.
The Polish dancer, who has been on the show since 2006, will give a warts-and-all account of the backstage bitching, rows over pay and hours plus the illicit romances which have plagued the show.
Ola, 33, quit the dance contest in December and soon after declared that the show was “fixed” in favour of certain contestants.
Now she will lay bare how some of the show’s most scandalous couplings got started.
They are likely to include Kristina Rihanoff ’s romances with Vincent Simone, 37, and married Ben Cohen, 37, Pasha Kovalev’s hook-up with Rachel Riley, 30, and Natasha Kaplinsky’s fling with Brendan Cole, 39.
Ola - whose husband James Jordan was axed two years ago - is also expected to lay into the judges and give the lowdown on their voting tactics.
If that were not enough, the TV favourite wants the book to coincide with when the show starts later this year.
A source said: “This is one explosive book, she is going to reveal all the backstage goings on and she won’t hold back.
“It’s going to be one of the biggest page turners to come from the show, it will definitely ruffle a few feathers.”
Ola’s only victory was in 2009 when she won with sports presenter Chris Hollins, 44. And she has been a consistent favourite amongst viewers.
But she ran into trouble with presenter Steve Backshall, 42, when they were partnered in 2014 and it was claimed she was “bullying him”.
In the book, she is expected to give her version of events with blame being put on the dancers being worked too hard.
She was later at loggerheads with show producers when she decided to sign up toChannel 4 reality show The Jump - with an injury meaning she couldn’t take part in the Strictly final.
After quitting last year she branded judge Craig Revel Horwood “childish and pathetic” and went on to say that the judges manipulate the results.
A Strictly source said she would never return following her comments.
Her husband James, 37, has also spoken out against the show and slammed judge Bruno Tonioli for his “tacky” behaviour saying Strictly had become a “pantomime”.
A show source added: “We are sure Ola has a lot to say, let’s hope she checks it all with her lawyer.”
