Fun in the sun! Cindy Crawford jets off on a spring break getaway to the Bahamas with husband Rande, model daughter Kaia and son Presley

Supermodel Cindy Crawford and her family have had a busy first few months of 2016, working on everything from a mom-daughter Vogue cover to numerous fashion campaigns, so it is no wonder that the genetically-blessed foursome wanted to escape for some rest and relaxation over spring break.
And where better to find some peace, quiet and sunshine than the Bahamas?
Cindy, 50, her husband Rande, 53, and their children, budding models Kaia, 14, and Presley, 16, have been living it up in the beautiful island resort of Baker's Bay for the past few days - of course making sure to share regular updates from their vacation in a series of envy-inducing Instagram snaps.

Kicking off her getaway with a stunning selfie, Cindy let her followers know that she had escaped the humdrum of everyday life in favor of something far more exotic by commenting alongside the snap of herself and saying: 'Vacay starts today!'
She then added of the beautiful turquoise sea behind her: 'Can't get over the color of this water.'
In the image, Cindy can be seen posing in a straw fedora and sunglasses, her brown hair left loose around her shoulders, and some simple jewelry at her neck and ears.
And while Cindy certainly takes center stage in the image, her backdrop is just as beautiful, with the waters shining in the sunlight, several big boats anchored behind her.
But it certainly hasn't all been bright sunshine for the family during the first few days of their vacation; hours after Cindy shared her selfie, husband Rande posted a video on his own Instagram account, capturing an unbelievable storm that seemed to be raging through the night, the only light seen in the dark skies provided by flashes of lightning.

The following day, however, it was back to business on the beach for the Crawford-Gerber clan, with Cindy sharing another picture of their beautiful surroundings - the white sands, bright blue ocean and fresh greenery - taken from the balcony of the sprawling beachside property that the family is thought to be staying in during their trip.
As for Kaia and Presley, the teens appear to have left their parents to their own devices, opting instead to spend time at the beach with two friends who have joined them on their trip.
In an image shared on Instagram by model Kaia, the young fashion star can be seen posing in a white bikini on the beach with her two girl friends, all three of the teens staring down at the beach away from the camera while completely covered in sand, their hair slicked back wet - no doubt from a fun-filled swimming session in the crystal-blue sea.
Captioning the image with a simple, 'or be square', Kaia has racked up tens of thousands of likes since posting the snap on Thursday afternoon.
Kaia's friend also shared her own version of the picture on Instagram, this time with two of the girls staring at the ground, while one looks up to smile at the person snapping the picture - most likely Kaia's older brother Presley, who thus far has managed to almost completely avoid the social media spotlight during the trip, save for one image posted four days ago.

Shared by the siblings' friend Lily, the picture sees Presley and Kaia sitting opposite one another on the back of a boat, their legs stretched towards one another, with just their toes touching as they look out at the waters behind them while the boat speeds off to an unknown location.
After posing up for their sand-covered shots however, it seems the girls decided to take a break from their impromptu shoot, with Kaia and a friend instead choosing to lounge around on the beach's white sands while someone snapped an image which was later shared on Instagram by one of Kaia's friends.
But Kaia and Presley's parents were not to be outdone on the social media front, with Cindy snapping a picture of herself and Rande lounging around on the beach together on Thursday morning, showing herself lying across his husband's bare stomach while the pair relaxed on a beach towel.
'Rough Thursday! Soaking up some vitamin D with @RandeGerber,' she captioned the sun-filled photo.
The luxurious Baker's Bay Golf and Ocean Club resort where the family are thought to be staying during their trip has long-been a favorite among Hollywood's hottest stars, with the likes of Tom Brady and Gisele, and Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck having previously enjoyed vacations there.

Located on the island of Great Guana Cay, the beautiful three-mile bay is renowned for its incredibly varied and exotic sea life, as well as its beautiful beaches.
But the A-list-approved resort is by no means the first stop on what has been an already-fun-filled spring break for the Crawford-Gerber gang.
Last week, the family headed off to enjoy a day of fun at the Grand Canyon in Arizona, with Cindy sharing a sweet image of the foursome standing in front of the iconic natural landmark.
'#notthegriswalds,' Cindy captioned the snap, a nod to the hapless National Lampoons family lead by Chevy Chase, who know all about vacation mishaps.
Nevertheless, the boys were determined to give their mother a scare as both Rande and Presley posted separate videos which appeared to show the teen clambering up and over the edge of a precipice.
'Boys will be boys at the Grand Canyon @presleygerber,' his dad wrote.
The former model and businessman also shared a snap of his son taken while they were on a tour of the University of Arizona - although he neglected to reveal whether they were looking at the school as an option for Presley to attend when he graduates in a few years' time, simply captioning the snap of the teen and a blonde friend: 'First stop on the tour, U of A.'
