A screaming child is enough of a nightmare! Creepy video of a 'possessed' toddler balancing on the side of his crib has the internet spooked... but is it real?

At first glance it could be a scene from the Paranormal Activity series.
A screaming toddler can be seen on a 'nanny cam' climbing the side of his cot, before precariously standing up and balancing on the side rail.
The creepy YouTube video has had more than 2.5 million views, and promoted many people to claim to child was 'possessed'.

'Caught on Nanny cam in the middle of the night... No children were harmed. This is not my child in the video,' YouTube account Chris and Keelan Chronicles wrote alongside the clip.
The 52-second video shows a clearly distressed toddler crying in their cot in the middle of the night.
As they continue to wail the child, named Connor, appears to scale the side of the crib before hauling his body upright on the railing.

Paranormal: Connor balances on the side of the crib for a total of 22 second, before falling back on to the mattress with a thud
Connor stands on the railing for 22 second, all the while screaming and calling out 'mummy'.
At one point his eyes flash bright, eerily lighting up the dark room.
Then, with a loud thud, Connor falls backwards on the mattress.
But if you look closely just before he falls he disappears, which viewers have taken as evidence that the video a fake.
Opinions divided: The fake video had views divided, with some suggesting the child was 'just good at balancing'
Despite the obvious discrepancies, the video still had viewers divided.
'This will end up being part of a new horror movie... I guess,' one apparent skeptic wrote.
But while some were quick to shun the idea of paranormal activity, they did believe the child was able to pull himself up on the railing.
'Not possessed its just good at balancing.. It would however been scary if the baby fell forwards,' wrote another.
