As the years advance birthdays aren't always a time of celebration.
But its hard to imagine that Adriana Lima was feeling maudlin as she celebrated her 32nd birthday on Tuesday.
The Victoria’s Secret Angel looked better than ever with her long slender limbs on display in a mini skirt and her face devoid of even a hint of ageing.

While Adriana's birthday is on Wednesday, she celebrated the night before at the bash for Vince Camuto’s VC Signature flagship store opening in New York.
But luckily Camuto made sure she didn’t go unrecognised as the birthday girl.
The fashion mogul provided a tray of cupcakes with chocolate and vanilla icing on, complete with candles for her to blow out.
But Adriana is unlikely to have tucked in as she has to maintain a slim figure for her career.

The clothes horse showed off her trim pins in a black sequin frock which showed off her smooth décolletage and delicate necklace.
Adriana’s asymmetric number cut off at the top of her thighs and thin black belt detail cinched her in at the waist.
She teamed the piece with a silver box clutch bag and peep toe high heels.

The brunette tied her hair back in a half-up-half down style and couldn’t be outdone by her Victoria’s Secret co-worker Lindsay Ellingson.
The blonde showed up in a sleeveless white frock with centre zip detail in the front.
She accessorised with pointy toe black heels to match her black buckled belt.

Also at the bash was DJ Chelsea Leyland, Dujour EIC Nicole Vechiarelli, Designer Tory Burch, Jennifer Creel, Ric Pipino, Laura Eastwood, Lara Meiland Shaw, Sandra Ripert, and Marisa Brown.
Despite the Beau Joie champagne being served Adriana seemed fresh as a daisy on Wednesday as she wrote on Facebook: ‘Thank you for the wonderful birthday wishes!!
'I'm having a great birthday and you amazing fans make it even better!’
She had previously shared that her pals got her a very entertaining gift indeed.
'Best birthday gift from Frankie & Carolina: flamenco dancers!' she wrote on Twitter.
