Abigail Breslin: from Little Miss Sunshine to teen fashionista

The name sounds familiar…This 17-year-old actress has been in the biz since the age of three. She’s best known for her gloriously gawky turn as a beauty-pageant hopeful in 2006 hit Little Miss Sunshine (left), for which she bagged a best supporting actress Oscar nomination at the tender age of ten. She’s also starred opposite Mel Gibson in Signs, Cameron Diaz in My Sister’s Keeper and Sarah Jessica Parker in New Year’s Eve.

Wow, that’s quite the transformation. Yes, Abigail’s fast becoming a teen fashionista, rocking the red carpet in Alice + Olivia and Marchesa. She was also spotted front row at Nanette Lepore’s S/S 13 show in New York.
What’s she in next? The Call, a thriller with Halle Berry about a kidnapped girl (Abigail) who phones an emergency services operator. It’s a far cry from her Little Miss days, but as Abigail herself points out, people have ‘accepted me growing up a little bit.’
