Drama queen! Emmy Rossum makes a bold entrance in flowing printed gown as she leads stars at exhibition opening

She commands attention as Fiona Gallagher in Shameless and it’s no different when Emmy Rossum hits a red carpet.

The actress made a distinctly dramatic entrance when she arrived at the opening of a new exhibition at the Museum of Moving Image in New York on Wednesday.

Emmy went for a bold look in a floor-sweeping gown which boasted a full skirt with train that was white with a blue and black floral print.

The top of the 26-year-old’s dress was black with a blue cross, and she clashed the frock with a thin red bow belt and matching miniature clutch bag.

Emmy wore her chestnut brown locks in an updo with her fringe falling in her face, and completed her look with frosty pink lipstick.

She was leading the stars checking out the Persol Magnificent Obsessions: 30 Stories of Craftsmanship on Film exhibition on its opening night.

Emmy posed up with her fellow actresses Anna Kendrick and Zosia Mamet at the event.

Twilight star Anna wore a burgundy shift dress that clung to her petite figure and highlighted her porcelain skin and brassy blonde hair.

She may have been wearing high stilettos but 27-year-old Anna, who stands at 5ft 2in, was easily towered over by 5ft 8in Emmy.

Meanwhile Girls actress Zosia wore a simple long black dress under a white girdle style belt.

The 25-year-old topped off her ensemble with a messy ponytail and lashings of scarlet lipstick.

Emma Roberts was also at the bash, wearing a jewelled top with white shorts and a matching jacket.

The jacket boasted gold detail on the sleeves and the niece of Julia Roberts stuck to the metallic theme with gold sandals and a coordinated box clutch.

Marisa Tomei shimmered in a gold and black printed frock while Hilary Rhoda sported a statement skirt which was check with a plant print.

The actress wisely kept the rest of her outfit simple with a black tank top that turned sheer under the flashbulbs, and matching sandals.

Liev Schreiber was also out in force at the star-studded event, dressed in a black suit with grey shirt, and no doubt was delighted to be the only male star in attendance.
