Abbey Clancy admits she's 'terrified' ahead of her second Strictly dance

Abbey Clancy admits she's 'terrified' ahead of her second Strictly dance... as show bosses make her outfits even shorter ahead of ratings war with The X Factor

But with Strictly Come Dancing about to get serious, Abbey Clancy admits her promising start hasn’t alleviated the nerves as she prepares for a return to the ballroom floor on Saturday night.
‘Sooooo nervous but feel weirdly excited !!! No idea why it’s terrifying ha,’ she tweeted during her preparations for the forthcoming show.

Those preparations include a new hair-do courtesy of stylist Neale Pirie, and she was quick to show off her latest look in a black and white photo added to her Twitter account on Saturday afternoon.
‘Hair time !! @Nealpirie x,’ read an accompanying message.
The 27-year-old model will dance Cuban style with the cha-cha-cha when the show gets underway, but she will do so in a significantly shorter outfit as Strictly bosses plan to spice up the show ahead of a ratings war with The X Factor.

The two rivals will overlap by half an hour when The X Factor live shows begin on October 12, owing to the first running for 135 minutes.
‘There’s not much to Abbey’s outfit,’ a source told the Daily Star. ‘It’s very short and may get even shorter.’
While the Liverpudlian brushes up on her dance moves, fellow competitor Ben Cohen has been sent to ballet school as part of his rigorous training with partner Kristina Rihanoff.

The former rugby star was being propped up at the barre, rather than the bar, as professional partner Kristina Rihanoff took him along to make him a little more nimble.
Rihanoff has previously voiced her concerns about how much weight training he has been doing, leaving him much too stiff and bulky for dancing.
Cohen, who will dance to What The World Needs Now, did not have to look tutu silly during his ballet lesson - sticking to a t-shirt and sweatpants rather than tights and legwarmers.

He said: ‘The ballet was good. It told me a lot about my posture, I know I've got terrible posture - that is what this dance is all about, posture and frame. So hopefully I'll remember all the little bits and bobs and can do it on the night.’
And he hopes that former Royal Ballet principal dancer Darcey Bussell, who joined the judging panel in 2012, will notice an improvement.
He added: ‘The ballet lesson helped by giving me a good stretch. It helped me get some poise for the waltz - I hope Darcey notices.’
