Strictly Come Dancing is back on our screens and whether you love it or hate it there’s no doubting the hit television show gets just about everyone talking.

We call it “the Strictly effect” because it has already sparked an interest in leg treatments in our clinic.

Since the show started last month we have already seen a 25 per cent increase in procedures to firm up thighs as well as a surge in inquiries about how to get rid of bumps, blotches and of course those saggy knees.

Last week we did a quick survey among our patients, asking who has the best legs on Strictly and Russian dancer Kristina Rihanoff came out top.

One of the problems with getting gorgeous legs like Kristina’s is you often have to wage war on several problem areas at once, from unsightly saddlebags and inner thigh wobble right through to rough skin and blemishes.

A number of factors, such as ageing, the menopause, overdoing the dieting and even extreme exercise can contribute to skin thinning and looking loose and saggy.

This can make legs look old before their time, even if they are slim and shapely.

Fortunately, there are many ways to deal with most of the common problems either at the clinic or at home.
