Hope they didn't run out of tissues! The tears were falling left right and centre as X Factor rejects Joseph, Paul and Zoe were sent home
Every year the tear count gets higher on the X Factor, and this 2013 competition was no different.
And in the running for the most tearful reject at Judges Houses was Over 25s Joseph Whelan, Zoe Devlin and Boys hopefuls Paul Akister and Ryan Mathie.
As they found out they would not be going through to the X Factor live shows, the three couldn't contain their emotions in Saturday nights episode.
Tearful: The rejected X Factor hopefuls show their emotions during Judges Houses in Saturday night's show
Devastated: Zoe couldn't contain her emotions even before Sharon Osbourne told her she wasn't going through
Before her performance, Zoe spoke about her daughter Dusty, and got tearful when she described her as 'the most important thing in the world.'
'I can't go back and tell a three-and-a-half year old that mummy didn't get through,' the singer said.
Speaking to the mother-of-one, Sharon told her 'I've been going back and forth all night, you know that you don't have the strongest voice in the competition. but your special and unique.'
Before the music manager had even delivered her verdict, Zoe was inconsolable, only stemming the flow of tears when Sharon told her too.
Sad: Devlin was hoping to make it to the live shows for her daughter Dusty
Consoling: Sharon kept a brave face throughout each one-on-one
Sadly it was no more for Zoe, who was told by Osbourne she wouldn't be going through, causing the singer's tears to fall even harder.
Sharon was forced to console her with a few words: 'I know it hurts but you've got to be strong. For everything thank you.'
Joseph has been welling up seemingly at every opportunity, as he talks again and again about his little boy, and how much he doesn't want to go home with bad news.
'We've been struggling since I quit my job,' the Northern singer said. 'I just want to do it for my son. I've just got to give it everything'
Dermot's there: Zoe gets another shoulder to cry on thanks to presenter O'Leary
Second disappointment: Joseph got further this time around but sadly didn't get through to the live shows
He sang a rocky version of Girls Aloud's I'll Stand By You, which garnered appreciation from Robbie Williams, Sharon's guest judge: 'I love him a little bit. I just want it to go well for him, but I just don't know where he's going to go though.'
Sharon shared his sentiments: 'He's a sweetheart but is he going to win it?'
Unfortunately, it didn't seem like the judge thought so, and although she told Whelan that his voice was good 'it wasn't vocally strong enough' to secure a place in Sharon's team.
Crying again before the verdict was delivered, Joseph even said he didn't want to hear it.
Gutted: Whelan put everything in to his singing career but now is it a loss at what to do next
She wasn't feeling the flute: A duff note and a 'niche' performance couldn't convince Sharon of Andrea Magee's star power
Harder each year: The contestants seem to get more emotional with every series
Paul had arguably the best voice out of the Boys contestants, with Gary Barlow tweeting a message of support during the Saturday night show: 'Paul you have a God given talent ! What a voice ! #XFactor'.
Paolo Nutini's Last Request was the song choice of for Akister, which all the judges seemed to enjoy; bopping their heads and looking at each other in mutual appreciation.
Tears in his eyes as he chatted to Louis, Paul found out he wasn't through, taking with him the consolation that it was 'the hardest' decision for Louis out of all of the acts.
Poor Ryan: Mathie could barely speak when he got his no verdict from Louis Walsh

Also going home empty-handed are Andrea Magee, Ryan Mathie and Giles Potter.
But it wasn't just the rejects getting the waterfalls, for all of the successful contestants shed tears, especially 16-year old Nicholas McDonald, who even caused guest judge Shane Filan to shed a few of his own.
Judges' House part two returns in The X Factor on Sunday October 6th, 8pm.
So emotional: one wonders whether a contestant so young is ready for the drama and stress of the music industry
