She burst into the limelight after appearing on The X Factor, where she failed to make it through to the live shows.
But Lydia Lucy is hoping that her stint on The Voice will be more successful, and will appear on Saturday night's episode of the BBC One singing programme.
Yet despite pursuing her dreams to become a singer, the star admitted that she has found fame hard to cope with, exclusively telling MailOnline about the vile trolls who sent her death threats.

After being linked to the break-up between TOWIE's Ricky Rayment and Jessica Wright, the star received a barrage of abuse on Twitter, with some even sending her death threats.
'I was quite upset at the time but I think you’re going to get [targeted by] Twitter trolls with everything that you do so you’ve got to take it with a pinch of salt,' she said.
'Music is my life so I’ve got to take the good with the bad.'

Clearing up the rumours that she sent Ricky flirtatious text messages whilst he was dating Jessica, she explained: 'It was nothing to do with me, it wasn’t my fault. I was just accidentally brought into it...
'I’ve not seen any of them since. I’ve only ever met Ricky twice any way so this is the funny thing about it. There was literally nothing going on.'
Explaining that she had 'nothing to say' to the Essex-born lad and that she just wanted to 'put [the rumours] behind us' to Jess, she insisted: 'The person in the wrong was Ricky at the end of the day.'

'Instead of just singing cover songs like I did on The X Factor, I’ve recreated myself as an original artist.' she said. 'I’ve re-invented my image, styling and everything.'
She also confessed she thought she'd 'connect more' with The Voice judges - Will.i.am, Ricky Wilson and new judges Paloma Faith and George Michael.

And with several songs written that she hopes to release in the future, she confessed that she would be open to appearing on more reality shows in the future in order to help raise her profile.
