She already has a network of fans.

But BBC weather girl Keeley Donovan, 32, is set to attract a whole new army of admirers after being announced as a co-presenter of Countryfile Diaries, this week.

According to The Mirror, the brunette beauty will help front the new mini-series alongside veteran stars Paul Martin, John Craven and Jules Hudson.

The Grimsby-born host, who is frequently seen on BBC Look North, has also been a presenter on regional current affairs show Inside Out.

And, evidently, she will help attract plenty of viewers on the five-episode spin-off, which has been commissioned following Countryfile's best-ever recorded ratings.

It pulled in audience of nearly 9 million, last month - despite the show running since 1988.Speaking to The Mirror, Keeley said: 'I’ve always been fascinated by nature so I’m thrilled to be a part of Countryfile Diaries.'

Executive editor Bill Lyons added: 'We want to offer BBC daytime viewers a real chance to celebrate spring with us and the team of presenters we’ve got are the perfect people to do just that.'

Fortunately, the fun-loving presenter will already be accustomed to the inevitable attention that will come from her new tenure.

That's because Keeley is already the subject of a Facebook group entitled 'Keeley Donovan: The hottest weather girl', which has accrued 1426 'likes' and a number of images from her Instagram account.

These include a snap of her at a fancy dress party - wearing an 80s-inspired exercise outfit - plus another of her dressed as ironic alter-ego 'Weather Girl'.

At the BBC: Speaking to The Mirror, Keeley said: 'I’ve always been fascinated by nature so I’m thrilled to be a part of Countryfile Diaries'

That said, she's also well-qualified for the role.

A BBC profile of Keeley says: 'After graduating from Leicester De Montfort, Keeley returned to Grimsby to complete a post graduate course in Journalism.

'Keeley has worked for the BBC since 2005 and is already a familiar face to audiences across BBC Yorkshire, East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire as one of the region’s main weather presenters.

'Having long had an interest in the weather Keeley was overjoyed when a position was advertised to join the Yorkshire weather team. She has since spent time studying with the Met Office, at the BBC Weather Centre and has also completed further studies in Meteorology with the Open University.'
