She made a name for herself after appearing on the TV mini-series House Of Hancock.
Now Australian actress Alexandra Phillips has landed a role of a lifetime, just 12 months after relocating to Los Angeles.
On Thursday the 23-year-old announced she will feature as the lead character in upcoming Hollywood thriller, The Black Spot.

The horror film is about a group of friends who reunite on an island camping trip and discover a buried curse.
'I was pretty lucky landing a feature film, it kind of emphasised why I’m here,' the actress told the North Shore Times.
'Not many actors come here and land a lead in a feature film in their first year.'

Alexandra told the publication that filming for the movie would commence in October for three months and be released to the public by the end of 2017.
The set and production will be set in Hawaii, the Bahamas and the Big Sur in California.
There has been no official announcement for the new movie and it is not known what other actress and actors will appear.
Alexandra kicked off her career in front of the camera as a model before venturing to University to study entertainment.

She graduated in 2015 with a double degree in Screen Production and Marketing and quickly scooped up a role in Channel Nine's mini-series.
In House Of Hancock the young talent portrayed the character of Johanna Porteous.
The film told the epic true story of the Hancock dynasty and the bizarre love triangle that emerged between Lang Hancock, his daughter Gina Rinehart, and his beautiful Filipina housekeeper Rose.
After it premiered Gina accused the show of being incorrect and took legal action in an attempt to stop part two from airing.
