The actress sported a stunning fitted dress and wore her black hair piled high on top of her head to create a dramatic effect as she joined January Jones, Christina Hendricks and Jon Hamm among others at the event.

Standing out: Teyonah Parris made an impression in a stunning fitted dress with dramatic updo and strappy black heels for the season six premiere of Mad Men in Los Angeles on Wednesday night
Castmates: Teyonah stood out as she joined castmates (left to right) Christina Hendricks, Jon Hamm, Elisabeth Moss, Jessica Paré and January Jones at the star-studded screening
Teyonah plays Hamm's Don Draper's new secretary Dawn Chambers in the show, and said in a previous interview with New York magazine that she tried not to feel under pressure to play one of the first black characters in the show.
The star, who has previously appeared in shows including The Good Wife, said: 'I know that this show hasn’t had an African-American in the office and I know that comes with a lot of responsibility as to how I portray this woman, but I can’t think about that. I can only go in and do what I think this woman would do.
'I try not to think, "Oh, I have to represent every single black person in the world that was there in the sixties."
All-star cast: Teyonah is thought to have a much bigger role as Don Draper's secretary Dawn Chambers for the sixth season of the show

Sheer daring: January Jones vyed for attention in an unusual blue and cream Jonathan Saunders dress, which featured a half-sheer skirt
Nice save: The drop waist skirt of January's attire was completely see-through, but featured extra layers of fabric at the back to conceal her modesty
'I have to tell this one woman’s story and what that was for her. I’m kind of on the fence because as a black actress, there aren’t a lot of roles out there for us, and so you see a great show and it’s like,
'Oh wow, I would love to be on that show. Oh, but there are no black people on it. So that part is frustrating and I understand that, but at the same time I don’t expect to be a part of everyone’s story if it’s not true to the story that they’re trying to tell.'
But while Teyonah certainly courted attention in her dramatic outfit, she had some competition from her equally stunning castmates.
What would Peggy think? Meanwhile, Elizabeth Moss would have surely shocked her Mad Men alter ego Peggy Olson with her daringly low-cut dress which displayed plenty of cleavage
