She told her Twitter followers she was looking to a girlie night out with her pals.
But it would appear Laura Whitmore got somewhat distracted by a certain male in the form of One Direction's Niall Horan as she hit the town on Wednesday night.
The 27-year-old TV presenter was spotted leaving London's Whisky Mist nightclub with the teen pop sensation in a black cab in the early hours of Thursday morning after enjoying an evening of partying together.

Emerging from the exclusive Mayfair nightspot together at 3am, the pair - who have previously insisted their friendship is purely platonic - jumped into the back of a taxi together as they prepared to head home for the evening.
But they certainly didn't call it a day there, with the group later seen arriving at a private address in central London, where the 19-year-old singer was seen putting a parking ticket on his Range Rover for the night.
Both Laura and Niall seemed to be in good spirits as they left the club, giggling away as they chatted in the back of a taxi with their other pal.

But it would seem the MTV presenter's night out with Niall was somewhat impromptu, with Laura telling her Twitter followers earlier in the evening that she was looking forward to spending some time with her female friends.
Posting a snap of three martini glasses on her page, she wrote: 'Ladies night with my girls @angiesmithstyle @jjmakeup #teamwhitmore.'
However, it appears her plans changed when she bumped into the pop megastar during her night out, ditching her gal pals in favour of an evening with Niall.

Laura made sure to show off her killer pins as she left the club wearing what looked like just a short belted trench coat and black stilettos.
The Irish star teamed her sexy ensemble with a small white clutch bag, while wearing her blonde her tumbling in tousled waves around her shoulders and opting for her trademark black eyeliner and rouge lipstick.
Meanwhile, Niall kept things casual in a baseball jacket, jeans, high-top Nike trainers and a motif T-shirt as he hit the town with his friends.

Laura was recently forced to deny she and Niall were an item after she faced the wrath of the loyal One Direction fans when the pair were spotted together on a night out in January.
Writing on her Twitter page at the time, she said: 'Niall is my lil brother from another mother, RELAX one direction fans. You honestly have NOTHING to worry about x.'
The blonde beauty split from her long-term boyfriend, Danny O'Reilly of Irish indie rock band The Coronas, late last year.
