'You look better than you sound': Patti Boulaye's sultry daughter Aret Kapetanovic hits the wrong note on The Voice
From the moment Aret Kapetanovic stepped out on The Voice stage, the audience was already putty in her hands.
With her sultry looks, scarlet lipstick and daring dress, she commanded everybody's attention - much how her mother Patti Boulaye did in the 1970s.
Aret, who was born Emma Komlosy, performed a sexy, slowed down version of Paloma Faith's Upside Down but failed to win over the judges who could only hear her and not see her.
Disappointment: Aret Kapetanovic failed to impress the judges with her voice, but they thought she looked great
But that changed when the Will.I.Am, Jessie J, Tom Jones and Danny O'Donoghue spun their chairs around at the end of her song.
The judges were disappointed that the song didn't match her style.
'You're a beautiful girl and you should sing beautiful songs,' mused Tom.
Upon seeing her, Jessie J described her as 'Jessica Rabbit in real life.'
The Nobody's Perfect singer said: 'I genuinely think out of everyone we've seen so far, I think you are the prime example of exactly what the show is about.
Singing for success: Aret is the first ever mixed race girl to win Miss Nigeria, in 1996
'It's all about talent': Aret says she was drawn to the voice as it meant people would want to work with her voice not her looks
'I didn't expect to see you at all, how amazing you look, it didn't go with what you sang... Can I borrow your dress?'
Aret was the first ever mixed-race winner of Miss Nigeria in 1995, when she stumbled upon the competition while on holiday with her mother, singer Patti Boulay.
No idea: Danny had no idea what Aret, daughter of 70s and 80s singer Patti Boulaye, looked like
Not quite up to scratch: The judges thought that her rendition of a Paloma Faith song wasn't quite good enough to go to the second round
In the genes: Aret's mother is Patti Boulaye, a famous entertainer from the 1970s and 1980s
Boulay had a successful singing career of her own and these days is a tireless AIDS campaigner.
Along with Aret, she and her husband Stephen Komlosy have one other child, Sebastian.
Today, Patti heads up a charity, Support For Africa, but a few decades ago had her own TV show and starred in West End shows such as Hair.
Disco queen: Patti Boulaye was an icon in her own right in the 70s and now her daughter wants to follow suit

Aret wasn't the only contestant on Saturday night's show who had a showbiz background.
There were singers who had had appeared on Hollyoaks, Jools Holland, X Factor, Top Of The Pops or singing about Fearne Cotton's mother.
Nate James, who was nominated for two MOBOs in 2005, was singing for a place in the next round, and a second shot at fame.
Tense: The judges are getting really competitive over who takes what acts
The soul singer, who has previously performed on Jools Holland said he was inspired to try out for the show after seeing it last year.
He sang Seal's hit Crazy and soon Jessie and Danny were bickering over who would get to mentor him.
Eventually he opted for Jessie J, who trotted up to the stage to give him a warm hug.
We're never gonna survive: Nate James sang Seal's hit, Crazy and joined Jessie J's team
Serious moment: Nate James decided to go on The Voice after seeing the show last year
Another life: Nate has previously performed on Jools Holland and was nominated for two MOBOs in 2005
'He picked me!' she squealed.
There was another familiar face, ex-Hollyoaks actress, Alice Barlow who played troubled teen Rae Wilson.
In the show she was somewhat unkempt with a love of thick black eyeliner, but in real life she is every inch the glamourpuss.
She showed off her killer pins in a pair of microshorts, but she got the judges to turn around without showing even a flicker of skin.
Her rendition of Call Me Maybe thrilled the judges, and her pretty looks caught the eye of ladies' man Danny.
From Chester to London: Alice Barlow previously starred on Hollyoaks but now wants to be a singer
Ed Sheeran: Alice has previously performed with Ed Sheeran, the pair covered a Gnarls Barkley track given away as a free download
Alice has previously sung with Ed Sheeran, they performed a duet of Gnarls Barkley's number one hit, Crazy.
The judges praised her 'recording artist voice', and she joined Danny's team, willingly.
The Script frontman quipped: ‘She’s a lovely-looking girl.’
From the world of rock came 60-year old Colin Chisolm from Edinburgh who previously had success as lead singer of 1970s rock band Bilbo Baggins.
His daughter applied to the show on his behalf, and explained why, saying, 'his voice is unreal, he deserves one more chance.'
After hearing his rendition of I drove All Night, Tom Jones agreed and added him to his team, which at the end of the show stood at a solid 11.

Liverpudlian Paul Carden, 31, was in The Black Velvets, an indie rock band who previosuly toured with The Killers.
He sang Locked Out Of Heaven, a favourite song of Danny's which made him desperate to get him on side.
It worked and he will now be in the next round with Danny's other singers.
Portuguese Ricardo Afonso, 38, has also had a touch of fame before, starring in We Will Rock You.
'Taking part in this competition is a big risk,' he said. 'I'm thirty-eight, you could say that the clock is ticking.'
Next chapter: Paul Carden shakes hands with his new mentor, The Script's Danny O'Donoghue
Bilbo Baggins: Colin Chisholm, from Edinburgh, was once in 1970s rock band Bilbo Baggins and is the oldest entrant in the competition
Glory days: Colin, second from right, with his Bilbo Baggins bandmates
He then launched in Hard To Handle, raising an immediate smile from Tom before the other judges' heads started nodding.
'I like it,' called Danny to Will before turning his chair round to show him he was interested in having him on his team.
As Ricardo went in to the final note, Tom Jones span around too.
'There's no flies on you, that was straight out of the box amazing,' said Danny.
'I'm kicking myself I didn't turn around,' said Jessie.
'I know that song very well, I sing it myself,' says Tom, before praising him for 'hitting it with a different attack.'
West End star: Ricardo Afonso has previously starrred in We Will Rock You in London's West End
In 2007, Sean Rumsey appeared on The X Factor as part of boyband Futureproof and fast forward to the present day he's trying his luck on a rival talent show.
In the interim six years, he has experienced internet fame when he composed and sang The Mumatron, a song about Fearne Cotton's mother.
Third time lucky: Sean Rumsey was on X Factor in 2007 as part of Futureproof, and sang The Mumatron in 2010
He's mine! Danny was delighted to get Sean on his team, and perhaps this time it'll be third time lucky for him
Two girls who had previous pop experience were Nu-tarna, who used to be part of a group called Girls United.
Kelly-Maire and Elesha performed Part Of Me as a rock infused RnB duo.
Will span round, meaning the girls join his team.
The girls were delighted. 'We prayed for you all night,' they crowed.
Another go: Nu-tarna are giving the fame game another shot after spending their younger years in a girl band
'You need to work on your harmonies and make it great,' said Jessie J.
'What does Nu-tarna mean?' asked Will.
'It means progression on a large spiritual scale, we found it in a book said Kelly,' as she and Elesha ran to hug Will.
