Freida Pinto shows a lot of leg at the Jeune & Jolie premiere in a Golden Age dress

Wasn't The Great Gatsby last night? Freida Pinto shows a lot of leg at the Jeune & Jolie premiere in a Golden Age dress with a thigh high split

Memories of The Great Gatsby lingered on the red carpet for Day Two of Cannes Film Festival as Freida Pinto arrived in an evening gown inspired by the Golden Age.
With intricate metallic embellishment, and her hair slicked down into a '20s updo, the actress presented a sophisticated look that wouldn't have looked amiss on the likes of Daisy Buchanan from F. Scott Fitzgerald classic novel.
Walking in Jimmy Choo Lance sandals at the Jeune & Jolie premiere, Frieda, 28, will clearly be shaking up her style throughout the festival.

The actress carried a tiny box clutch bag, that looked like it could barely hold a lipstick let alone her mobile, so at least their would be one person in the cinema not having to worry about turning their phone off.
Frieda was joined on the red carpet - that was remarkably drier than the day before - by a number of international female stars following a similarly vintage look, but in their own unique way.
Fan Binging certainly channelled the Golden Age of Hollywood in her pale yellow gown.
Leggy: The sophisticated look showed off a lot more skin than her romantic Gucci dress from Day One at Cannes Film Festival's Opening ceremony

The Chinese actress looked like she had raided the wardrobe of Grace Kelly, with her dress's billowing layers and fitted, embellished top.
Fan, 31, had opted for a similar plaited hairstyle to Freida's from the night before, and her lips stood out from her alabaster skin thanks to a touch of coral lipstick.
Inès de La Fressange had looked further back into fashion history for her elegant look.
Golden Age: Hofit Golan also wore a revealing dress with metallic accents

Opulent: Vintage was obviously a popular theme for actresses at Cannes including Fan Binbing in a gorgeous Grace Kelly-esque gown

The French model and perfume designer referenced the Ancient Greeks in a red strapless toga-style dress.
The addition of two large gold cuffs made Inès, 55, look like a modern day Aphrodite at the Palais des Festivals on Thursday night.
Israeli socialite Hofit Golan's skin tight dress was far from vintage in style but like Frieda, she had chosen a golden design which showed a lot of skin.

The woman had all arrived to watch François Ozon’s latest film about a 17-year-old from a good family who becomes a part time prostitute for pleasure and not for financial gain
Juene & Jolie stands in competition with The Bling Ring for the coveted Un Certain Regard award.
