Selena Gomez brushes off mosque controversy as she larks around with Gigi Hadid in Instagram video shot in Dubai
Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid have been excitedly documenting their New Year's celebrations in Dubai.
And on Friday the 22-year-old actress and singer posted a video of Gigi and herself enjoying a swim in front of their luxurious hotel.
The 19-year-old model shared the video, which also featured Cody Simpson and two other friends, on her account as well.

The video depicts The Heart Wants What It Wants singer swimming playfully up to the camera, and throwing up peace signs while surrounded by friends.
Gigi mainly points the camera at her friends during the short Instagram video, but does direct it at herself a few times.
The blonde beauty shows off a neon pink bikini and round-framed pink reflective sunglasses when she turns the camera her way.

Gigi's boyfriend Cody Simpson also steals a little screen time in the video, with the Australian crooner swimming up to the camera.
The model recently reunited with her long distance beau, after their busy careers allegedly attributed to the split.
The two celebrated the holidays together, and have been sharing photos of their New Year's festivities at the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah hotel in Dubai alongside Selena, Kendall Jenner, Shay Mitchell and other friends.

Recently Selena caused quite a stir when she shared a photo of her visit to Abu Dhabi's Grand Mosque.
In the picture, the actress and singer is revealing her ankle, which violates the Mosque's rules for visitors.
Selena removed the picture, after receiving a host of criticizing comments such as: 'Disrecpectful! It's a religion place not a place to have fun in, so disappointed,' from Alaa Almitwally.
