Why I have never posed nude, by Raquel Welch: Former Bond girl, 74, refuses to strip off because her father 'would never have approved'
- Actress asked by Hugh Heffner to pose for Playboy no less than 57 times
- Eventually did - but pictures were dropped as she refused to go fully nude
- Reveals now that the reason behind that was the influence of her father
- Mother-of-two admitted that she regrets putting career ahead of family
She sealed her place as one of the sexiest women in the world after she appeared from behind a rock in a revealing doe-skin bikini in the 1960s film One Million Years BC.
Numerous racy films and photo shoots which capitalised on her alluring beauty followed not long after, along with 57 requests from Playboy to strip off, but Raquel Welch has admitted she has never appeared nude – because she was 'terrified' of upsetting her father.
The actress, now 74, said: 'I am my father's daughter and that's just not the way you behave. You don't do that if you are a certain kind of a woman and that's the kind of woman I was raised to be.

'He was a tough customer. He was complicated. He was very intense. He was a strict father.
'He used to say 'You are not leaving the house dressed like that, what is happening with your hair?' I was terrified of him.
'There were times when I disliked him quite a lot but I wanted to please him. He was the one that was so hard to please and the one I wanted to please.'
Miss Welch, who went on to star in notable films like Bedazzled, Bandolero!, 100 Rifles and Myra Breckinridge, reveals she eventually gave in to the demands of Playboy but insisted there would be no nudity.
Recalling the incident on Piers Morgan's Life Stories to be broadcast tomorrow, she told the host she was summoned by Heffner to his Playboy mansion where he told her that her shoot was boring because 'there's no t*** and there's no ass' resulting in him dropping the pictures.
In a wide-ranging interview with Morgan, Miss Welch, who has married four times and has two sons, disclosed her regrets at putting her career before her children, shed light on her abusive father, attracting the attention of men before she hit her teenage years and confessed her beauty secrets include using a balm normally used on animal teets and facial tape to iron out her wrinkles.

Discussing her tough upbringing and the moment she stood up to her violent and controlling father, Miss Welch said: 'He did not treat my mother very nicely. She was such a wonderful woman. She was lovely and pretty and he was not treating her well. I thought 'Boy, that is not going to happen to me.'
When I stood up to him one day he was stunned. I picked up the poker from the fireplace and I came at him and said 'Don't you ever do that to mother again'. He looked at me as if I was from the moon. He was so shocked. He was cruel and demeaning and my mother was a wonderful beautiful woman.'
Miss Welch confessed that her good looks during childhood, meant she almost got picked up by older men who would offer to drive her.
Admitting she deliberately upstaged the bride at the wedding of her son Damon Welch in 1990 by wearing a skin-tight low cut dress, she no longer thinks she is 'sexy', and instead considers herself 'a faded sex symbol'
The former Bond girl was opening up about her career on Piers Morgan's Life Stories, which will be screened on Friday
She said: 'I started taking ballet classes when I was about seven then as time went on, a couple of years and so, I would take my bus tokens and wait at the bus stop and as cars drove by a lot of men would slow down and offer me a ride, which is a little bit unsettling. But I did get the message that they were interested in me. I got the message that they thought I was yummy.'
