'If it's meant to be, it would be a blessing': Eva Longoria sizzles in red bathing suit as she talks having children with 'soul mate' Jose Baston

She's been happily married to Jose Baston for less than a year now, but when Eva Longoria first met her husband, the twice-divorced star didn't imagine herself getting hitched for a third time.

'When Pepe and I met, I said I didn't ever want to get married again,' Eva told the latest issue of Ocean Drive Magazine, of which she also graces the cover. 'He said, "Great, me neither." And here we are!'

Eva married the Televisa president in May 2016, but the star, 41, is adamant she isn't trying to force expanding their family.

Instead, the actress seems happy to let things unfold naturally.

'If it happens, it happens - if it's meant to be, it would be a blessing,' she told the magazine.

The actress heaped praise on her husband: 'Pepe and I are soul mates—I don't even know how to explain it, because it's like we’re two different sides of the same coin.'

Eva has been married twice previously, to Tony Parker and Tyler Christopher, and the star says she has no regrets about her past love life.

'I think every relationship is a path to where you are today. Every wrong turn led you to the spot where you are, so it wasn’t necessarily the wrong turn at the time. I wouldn’t change anything - never.'

Known for having a particularly petite physique, Eva says that while she has been blessed with a rather speedy metabolism, she noticed things started changing in her mid-thirties.

'For me, it was at around 35. You eat a bowl of pasta, and you're like, 'Oh, this doesn't just go away anymore,' she says.

As the magazine's accompanying photo shoot demonstrates, it's clear Eva continues to work hard at honing her super toned figure.

Eva's career has grown from acting into producing and now even designing clothing for The Limited.

The star says she has learned to strike a balance as she delivers constructive criticism in her professional life.

'I don't have a problem telling people if something's not quite right, or course-correcting—but it has to be done in the right way.

'I'm cooperative, respectful, and very honest. Just because I'm a boss lady doesn’t mean I have to be a bitch.'

Yet the star, who seems to be everywhere nowadays, admitted to being extremely nervous while speaking at the Democratic National Convention this summer.

'It was the most nervous I’ve ever been,' she said.

The actress slung her support for presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and didn't mince her words about Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump.

"I’m ninth-generation American—I’m way more American than Donald Trump!' she told the magazine.

'I have to turn my offense and anger into a vote, not just complain about it.'
