Selena Gomez is smiling again.

The 24-year-old was spotted taking a cigarette break from a rehab centre in Tennessee - where's been getting help for depression and anxiety.

She stepped out of the facility in a grey hoodie with black jeans on Thursday and had a bandage visible on her left hand.

Selena was seen grinning as she chatted with someone during the break.

The star is expected to stay at the center for 'months,' according to InTouch Weekly.

The Heart Wants What It Wants singer wore her short brunette locks loose and sported a makeup free face.

On August 30, she said in a statement released to People she had to step back and deal with her 'anxiety, panic attacks and depression.'

The brunette beauty canceled her Revival tour to to recover from her anxiety and depression, which stems from her battle with Lupus.

She told People: 'I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided the best way forward is to take some time off.'

Adding: 'I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues.'

The break came right after Selena and her ex Justin Bieber got into an online war of words when his relationship with Sofia Richie became public (they have since parted ways).

Selena was also in the media after claims surfaced that Angelina Jolie disliked her talking to Brad Pitt at a Golden Globe party earlier this year.

A fan named Maius Ayl took a picture with her on October 8 after she dined at Texas Roadhouse; he told InTouch Weekly 'she seemed amazing.'

The rehab center is a women's only institution in Seymour, with fields and trees surrounding it to ensure privacy, a source told Us Weekly.

The insider added: 'It's exactly what Selena needs.'

In 2014, the Good For You artist stepped away from the spotlight for a stint at an Arizona facility.

She revealed to Billboard in a 2015 interview that she went to the center to 'spend some time on myself.'

Adding that: 'I was diagnosed with [autoimmune disease] lupus, and I've been through chemotherapy. That's what my break was about. I could've had a stroke.'
