She’s ambitiously set her sights on Hollywood stardom after bidding farewell to her career defining character on long running teem drama Hollyoaks.

And British actress Jorgie Porter looked every inch a California native as she hit the beach ahead of a modelling shoot in Malibu on Monday afternoon.

The former soap star, 28, displayed her curves in a striking black one-piece while frolicking in the surf during a day out in the sweeping coastal city.

Given her picturesque surroundings the actress was in understandably high spirits as she waded knee-deep into the Pacific water for a relaxing dip.

Jorgie kept her willowy blonde locks tied back while showing off her extremely pert derriere while testing the water.

The actress allowed her striking swimwear to take centre stage by opting for the merest hint of make-up ahead of her latest appearance in California.

Making her way back onto the beach, the actress offered a playful laugh while jogging across the sand.

Jorgie is reportedly hoping to make her mark in Hollywood after quitting her role as Theresa McQueen in Hollyoaks earlier this year.

A source told The Sun: 'Jorgie has been in LA wooing acting agents and managers and hopes to start landing film roles soon. She can sing and dance too so has as lot to offer.'

However, the actress, a former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and Dancing On Ice contestant, admits she has not always been the happy-go-lucky woman she is today.

'When I was about 16, my skin was so bad that I found it hard to go out,' she told FEMAIL. 'I wouldn't even dream of going out without wearing make-up.

'I had proper acne and still have the scars from it today. I would make me not want to go out or make friends - or even stay over at people's houses.'
