Selena Gomez goes shopping in a tiny pair of denim shorts the morning after her triumphant MTV Movie Awards performance

Selena Gomez's life has been on the up since breaking up with Justin Bieber, with a hit film, highly anticipated new music and a forthcoming world tour.
And her sense of style is also evolving for the better, too.
The 20-year old Disney alumni looked incredible when she headed out for a spot of shopping on Monday.

Long legs: Selena Gomez showed off an impressive pair of pins when she went shopping in Los Angeles
Selena wore a pair of high waisted, distressed black denim hot pants, and a low cut lace body.
She elongated her toned legs with a pair of delicate heeled sandals, which added a few inches to her 5'4 frame.
Her long brunette hair was styled over one shoulder, and she hid her eyes behind large sunglasses, perhaps to hide tired eyes.

The night before, Selena performed at the MTV Movie Awards where she donned an elaborate red costume and sang a new track, Come And Get It.
Speaking ahead of the ceremony, Selena said: 'I wanted to make the performance something that'd be a game-changer for me, personally, because I wanted to out-do everything else I've done as an artist.

'I love dancing. I love the feel of the song and the tribal feel, so I wanted to incorporate that, so I just wanted a fresh take on what, you know, the new chapter is for me. So I'm excited.'
Part of Selena's 'new chapter' is her Stars Dance world tour, which she announced on her Facebook page a few hours after her triumphant MTV performance.

The tour will take in the US, Canada and Europe, and will no doubt be an extravagant affair.
To get in to practice for the show's inevitable costume changes, Selena left the store in a totally different outfit to what she arrived in.
Onlookers saw the pretty singer, whose film Spring Breakers has also been making waves, wearing a baggy grey jumper and over the knee boots when she first arrived in the store.
But after trying on some designer wares, she left in the much sexier lace top and strappy sandals.

It is not known what Selena has planned for her world tour, but it could be an extravagant affair if her MTV Movie Awards performance was anything to go by.
Selena teamed her shredded red dress with a jewel in the centre of her forehead and gold ankle bracelets and necklace.
The brunette star finished off her ensemble with heavy eye-liner, red lipstick and bright red nail varnish.
