As the group's fan base, lovingly dubbed Mixers, largely comprises of pre-teens and teenagers, the outifts have been blasted for their scanty nature.
Yet defensive Perrie, 22, told the publication: 'We wear what we feel comfortable in. We’re not overly sexy in what we do anyway.
'Some of us are 24. We aren’t going to be able to wear stuff like this for the rest of our life, and parade around in little dresses and stuff, but at the same time, we are just girls.'
The outfits on the tour have featured high-waisted underwear paired with bra-style tops, extremely sexy leotards, fishnets and racy strappy sandals.

The second eldest member of the group, Leigh-Anne is adamant the group would never wear something they weren't entirely comfortable in.
She adds: 'If we weren’t comfortable we just wouldn’t wear it. It’s not about being overly sexy, but it’s showing off your assets that you want to show off and if you feel confident in it, then boom.'
Perrie went on to add that as the tour is so energetic and the stage gets so hot, it is essential they stay cool, giving reason for the lighter outfits, made of less material.

Many fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the girls group, with one user insisting their sweet pop songs clash with their alluring on-stage looks.
The confused fan wrote: 'This little mix song doesn't go with their outfits. You play this at a kids party, but they're tryna be sexy' (sic).
Another user of the microblogging site appeared to confirm that parents are disapproving of the looks: 'My parents are s**t talking Little Mix because their outfits are "too sexy", but, um, who asked you, ya prudes?'
Fans were also quick to throw their support behind the girls and agree with Perrie's age-related comments: 'Y'all forget that little mix are grown women they're all 22 and older their dancing and outfits are appropriate for their age'.
