'Feeling attractive didn't come until I was 29': Kate Beckinsale smoulders in magazine shoot as she talks about being a sex symbol

The actress opens up in a new magazine interview, which is accompanied by a smouldering photo shoot.
One image sees her sporting a long sequined gold gown by Michael Kors as she sits on a flight of steps while clutching a cup of coffee.

In another, the 38-year-old is sporting a coral Prada jacket and matching trousers as she lounges in the back of a car with her brunette locks slicked upwards in a quiff.
The cinematic photo shoot appears in the latest issue of Allure magazine, for which Kate is also the cover star.
While the Total Recall star may look every inch the English rose in the sultry images, she told the magazine she hasn’t always been so confident in her appearance.
In fact, the brunette beauty says that it was only after meeting her now-husband Len Wiseman that she learnt to love herself.

She said: ‘Feeling attractive didn’t come until I was 29 and with Len…At the time it was partly perceived as if I’d gone all Hollywood, but it wasn’t like that at all.
‘It was just OK for me to walk around and feel feminine and attractive. I like feeling liberated like this.’
And Kate admitted that being labelled one of the sexiest women in the world isn’t always a good thing.
She explained: ‘I think the risk of being the sexiest woman alive is that you don’t want to ever have sex again. You don’t want to wear a bikini again.’
Kate says she is now happily ageing with grace, stating: ‘What is it about a woman being in her late 30s that brings out the “Oh, my gosh, are you worried?” questions? Worried? What about? 38, 39, 40, 50! Great! Still alive!’
She humorously added: ‘I haven’t experienced a full facial collapse, I haven’t suddenly gained 20 pounds that won’t go away, or a beard. That probably will happen, but it hasn’t yet.’
Kate’s photo shoot and interview feature in the August issue of Allure, available in New York and Los Angeles and on tablet now, and out nationwide on July 24.
