And as she's all too aware of how overwhelming the experience can be after taking a seat on the judging panel of the American version of the show, Nicole is very familiar with the entire process.
But one area of the show's format that the former Pussycat Dolls' singer has continued to shine in is the wardrobe department and today in Liverpool she embraced her inner rock chick.

Heading to the Echo Arena, the 34-year-old beauty stepped out ready for bootcamp in a heavily studded leather jacket.
Keeping her makeup simple she teamed the jacket with a pair of white skinny jeans and black heeled ankle boots with buckle detail.
Wearing her hair up in a rockabilly quiff, Nicole looked like she was ready to take off on a dirt bike.

Yesterday morning Nicole showed off her toned figure in a pair of silver spray-on jeans which she teamed with a long white printed T-shirt and a black PVC waistcoat as she arrived to shoot scenes for the talent show.
Her long dark hair was left down in loose curls and the singer's make-up was immaculate as she smiled for the cameras and saluted with the peace sign.
She completed her look with a pair of black ankle boots and lots of jewellery.

Although Nicole appeared to be in good spirits as she made her way to bootcamp, it almost certain that she didn't remain that way as her and her fellow judges faced a difficult day as they sent acts home.
And sadly for the contestants pictured they become the first of many who had their X Factor dreams crushed as they were all eliminated this afternoon.
Showing the disappointment and heartbreak, some lit up cigarettes to help deal with the stress whereas others were seen calling their supporters to break the bad news.
