'It's been an absolute pleasure': Rylan Clark is booted off the X Factor after giving his best vocal performance of the show in the sing off

It's the battle of the boys with just male competitors left in running for the X Factor top spot.
But on Sunday night Rylan Clark was kicked out of the X Factor after being sent home by judges Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos.
Rylan and Union J found themselves in the bottom two and were tasked with performing in the sing off.

The Essex wannabe sang his heart out and it proved to be his best ever performance on the show.
Rylan took to the stage to perform a surprisingly in-tune version of Athlete hit Wires.
During his performance he was seen giving Gary Barlow a kiss and it's clear the Take That singer has warmed to the Essex lad.

So sad to see him go: It seemed as if all the contestants, judges and even Dermot were sorry that Rylan left the competition
Meanwhile Union J performed Snow Patrol's song Run that left the crowd screaming.
It was hardly a surprise that Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh supported their own acts.
Nicole told Union J: 'Boys that was a very moving performance,' before sending them home.

Louis told the Essex favourite: 'Rylan you are a fantastic guy,' adding 'I think you are going to have an amazing career.'
Gary Barlow seemed said he was sorry to send Rylan home and he told him he they had enjoyed a lot of 'fun' together on the show.

The Take That singer also praised Rylan's performance in the sing off and he said: 'You have been an amazing contestant. That is your best vocal performance.'
Tulisa was left with the deciding vote and instead of sending it to deadlock she also opted to send Rylan home.
She told him: 'Rylan you have made me laugh,' before adding: 'I admire your strength.'

One last time: Rylan was seen hoisting Nicole into the air and he thanked her for picking him to be part of the live shows
The aspiring singer didn't seem too distraught about leaving the competition and he said thank-you to everyone on the show.
He told the audience that being on the show was an 'absolute pleasure'.
As well as watchign Rylan's exit viewers were also treated to a performance by hit-maker Rihanna, who took to the stage to perform her new track Diamonds.
Bruno Mars also sang his new track Locked out of Heaven.
