Selena Gomez leaves Justin Bieber behind for a photo call... but makes do with a copycat

The 20-year-old has just been announced as the new face and designer of Adidas NEO - a funky off-shoot brand of the sporting giant.
And despite Bieber also being an ambassador for NEO he must have had other engagements as an identikit model was brought in.

The pair posed naturally together for the cameras and Selena seemed completely at ease with her substitute - who wore the exact same outfit Bieber was seen in at Heathrow airport in London last year.
Meanwhile Selena is the perfect choice for the on-trend brand as it emulates everything she is - young, stylish, fresh and hip.
And with her millions of Tweeny followers, she is the ideal role model.
According to the press release: 'As Adidas NEO Label's new style ambassador, Selena will inspire teens with the label’s fresh looks through a three-year partnership until end-2015.
'As well as sporting her favorite NEO looks, Selena will make appearances for the label in major markets throughout 2013 and 2014 and share NEO's latest news, designs and collections through her social media networks.
'She will front NEO’s seasonal campaigns under its “Live Your Style” positioning, starting with Spring/Summer 2013 to debut in February 2013.'

Roughly a month ago the brand released an identical press release announcing Bieber as their 'Global Style Icon'.
The Spring Breakers star is pictured posing for the cameras next to the two models...the other of which looks rather like like fellow young A-lister Miley Cyrus.
Selena was snapped on the neon green carpet in black high top adidas trainers, skinny jeans, a plaid shirt and beanie.
Her 'Bieber' wore jeans, a T-shirt, had his hair quiffed back and also sported a pair of high-tops - the real Bieber's trademark look.
Double billing: The 20-year-old singer and actress has signed a three year contract with the brand and last month Adidas sent out an almost identical press release about Bieber

Some cynics have hinted that the news of Selena's signing to adidas NEO was 'suspiciously timed'.
The pair have been going through a rocky patch due to Selena's 'trust issues' and only in the past day or two has it seemed more certain Selena and Justin are going to stay together.
Furthermore sources have said that Selena keeps Justin around because he is 'good for her brand'.
However Selena has gushed about her new fashion venture, telling Teen Vogue: 'They know what’s going to happen in 2014!
'They know all the hip stuff, so I almost feel like the underdog coming in and learning about the whole design process.'
