Victoria Beckham and Jessie J get Children In Need fundraising started in style as pimped up Pudsey bears sell for thousands at auction

The Children In Need fund was given a boost by the fashion pack last night as an auction for Pudsey Bears styled by designers including Victoria Beckham, Alexander McQueen and Burberry fetched a total of £152,200.
The 2012 Designer Pudsey Collection, which was the brainchild of Love magazine editor Katie Grand, also featured stylish creations from Balenciaga, Burberry, Versace, Paul Smith and Gucci.
A number of the bears went under the hammer last night with Giles Deacon's Swarovski crystal embellished Pudsey making the most money as it sold for £24,000. The next bestseller was Louis Vuitton's effort, which doubles as a bag, for £20,000, followed by Tom Ford's bear cutely styled with a suit, hat and sunglasses which went under the hammer for £12,000.

Victoria Beckham's signed bear complete with a pink scarf eye patch and lipstick sold for £6,500 while Burberry's bear wearing a miniature version of one of their famous macs took £9,000.
In total 20 of the bears where auctioned off last night at Christies in front of a celeb filled audience.
But it's not too late to grab yourself a designer bear. A number are still be being auctioned at www.designerpudsey.co.uk until Sunday at 6pm.

Those still one sale include a geometric print bear by Missoni (current bid £1,900) and a Paul Smith Pudsey in a blue suit (current bid £2,100).
Each of the bears are completely unique and reflects the designers' trademark styles.
Meanwhile, other celebs have also been helping to raise the Children In Need funds through an auction of signed limited edition porcelain Lindt bears via eBay.

A total of 20 bears were auctioned signed by stars from the world of film, television, cooking and music.
Jessie J fans dug deep to make her signed bear the most expensive sold in the online auction at £600, followed by Hollywood actress Helena Bonham Carter whose signed bear sold for £510.

Meanwhile, Tom Jones raised £168.63 with his bear and singer Natalie Imbruglia's bear went for £260. Pop star Olly Murs proved he had the X Factor with his bear selling for £255 while tennis player Roger Federer served up £254 to add to the pot thanks to the auction.
In total nearly £3,500 was raised by the auction of signed gold-coloured bears.
Jessie J said: 'I was so happy to be able to be involved to help raise funds. And eat lots of chocolate!'
