‘I think she’s really lovely and has done a brilliant job. I really think she could win it.’
Rachel, now a mother-of-two, has said her eldest daughter Amelie, aged four, is particularly excited to watch her perform in the festive special.
‘My daughter Amelie is that age where she kind of understands things more,’ she explained. ‘After Children In Need, she watched it over and over again and knows all the words to Bring It All Back, so she’s going to love watching Strictly.

‘It will definitely be on the TV during Christmas day. I’m going to be with all my family, my mum, my mother-in-law, they all love the show. It’s such a great festive one to watch.’
Although, the S Club 7 star wishes she could do Strictly all over again, she said the whole experience was actually 'nerve-wracking'.
‘I wish I could do it all again and every time I watch it I feel like that,’ she admitted. ‘It was so good to be back dancing again, I loved it. I don’t miss the nerves of the show.
‘I saw Frankie the other day and everyone says the exact same thing. The nerves on that show is just crazy and I think no matter how much you have performed or danced in your career it takes everybody out of your comfort zone.’
‘You’re dancing with a partner, with someone who is kind of relying on you to be up to that pressure. Then the next minute you’re in front of millions of people – it was just difficult, nerve wrecking.’

Rachel and her husband, Alex Bourne, welcomed their second child Minnie into the world in April, so this year Christmas will no doubt be extra special.
‘My husband will be on holiday soon so we are going to try and do some festive things,’ the songstress said. ‘We’re going to take the girls to see the Christmas lights and go see Santa. It’s really lovely with kids – so exciting.’
Earlier this year, Rachel was crowned FHM magazine's Sexiest Woman of All Time, despite never topping the list in the magazine's annual countdown of the 100 sexiest stars.
Beating the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Brook and Cheryl Cole to the top spot, the brunette stunner has reached the top 100 on 11 occasions over the years, as well as appearing on the cover eight times.
When quizzed whether she feels any pressure to look in pristine condition after winning that title, she explained: ‘No not really, it was just lovely just having just given birth to Minnie and not feeling sexy at all, so to be voted that it was unbelievable.

‘I really loved doing the shoot. It was my 11th one to cover with them and when I did that shoot I was three months pregnant.
‘I didn’t know if I was going to be able to do because when I was approached to do the shoot I was only six months pregnant and I hadn’t told anybody at that point.’
‘But I do think we all do want to feel our best as much as we can,’ she added.
Meanwhile, Rachel has teamed up with Dettol for their new Baby Blanket Donation charity campaign, which raises awareness of the dangers of bacteria on baby blankets.
The British star is calling out to parents to donate blankets to highlight the shortage available to infants born to families in need.
‘The campaign really resonated with me as a mum,’ she commented. ‘I remember bringing my girls home for the first time in theirs and what a special time that was.
‘Many babies across the world will never get the chance to experience the comfort of a warm, clean blanket. That’s the reason why I’m supporting the campaign, asking mums to donate blankets to those in need so that those babies don’t miss out.’
