Bella Hadid embraced the saying and turned her back on complex red carpet gowns at Broadway's biggest night on Sunday.
The 18-year-old model was simply stunning as she stepped out at the 2015 Tony Awards at the famed Radio City Music Hall in New York.

The model - who is the daughter of Real Housewives star Yolander Foster - made her natural beauty the main focus of her look rather than trying to shine via a fancy dress.
While not a Broadway star, Bella stole the limelight in a strapless white and black silk gown by Prabal Gurung.
While at the front the dress appeared to be just an ivory dress, at the back to dress featured a black panel with a black and white trimmed ruffle running the length of the gown.
Matching the less is more theme of the dress, Bella chose to accessorise with one statement piece of jewellery - namely stunning diamond drop earrings - and left her exposed decolletage bling free.

The 69th Annual Tony Awards are this year hosted by Alan Cumming and Kristin Chenoweth and recognises excellence in Broadway theatre.
