The latest star to opt for a monokini on the beach is Alexandra Burke, who wore a strapless blue one-piece as she frolicked in the sea while on holiday in Mexico.
The 23-year-old singer appeared in great spirits, laughing and joking with friends as she alternated her sunbathing with dips in the cool sea.

And it appears that Alexandra chose well with her swimwear option, as the one-piece from Missguided.co.uk appeared to have immense staying power - refusing to budge even an inch, despite not having any straps, as Alexandra ran along in the sea.
The monokini featured a diamante detail on the cleavage area and tie sides on the bottoms, to give Alexandra the most flattering outfit possible.
So it's no wonder the Bad Boys singer looked delighted with her beach body, grinning widely as she soaked up the sunshine.

Alexandra works hard to maintain her toned but curvy figure, with regular sessions in the gym and energetic dance routines helping to keep her slim.

She said in a recent interview: 'I try not to get into the frame of mind of wanting to be skinny. I'm happy being a size eight.
'I'm heavier on my hips and smaller on the waist. I've barely got any boobs but I make up for it with my legs...I remind myself that guys don't like skinny girls, they like something to get hold of.'
