The bodysuit that was TOO revealing... even for Katy Perry! Singer covers up after opting for a nude outfit at the MuchMusic Awards

She's renowned for being fearless when it comes to choosing outfits for award ceremonies and performances.
But last night Katy Perry proved that when it comes to fashion, there are some looks that are just too daring - even for her.
The 27-year-old singer sported a nude bodysuit as she took to the stage at the MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto, Canada, to perform her new track Wide Awake.
Too much! Katy Perry proved that there are some outfits which are too revealing even for her as she took to the stage in a nude bodysuit at last night's MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto
Struggling: While the outfit was perfect for her performance, it proved difficult as she left the stage
Covering up: Katy used her award to maintain her modesty as she exited the stage, covering up her rear
However, despite the outfit being concealed somewhat by a huge pair of butterfly wings she was wearing for the rendition, it was when Katy made her way off the stage after collecting her award for International Artist that she ran into trouble with the outfit.
But luckily Katy thought quickly and decided to use her MuchMusic award - a long black rectangular box - to maintain her modesty by concealing her rear as she exited the stage after picking up the prize from Pretty Little Liars actress Lucy Hale.
The bodysuit was just one of three outfits Katy sported at last night's star-studded awards.
Are you trying to tell us something? Katy was reborn as a butterfly on stage at the awards
All in a night's work: Katy arrived as a superhero, accepted her award as a minister's daughter and was re-born as a butterfly
She had earlier arrived on the red carpet dressed as a Marvel-esque superhero in a black and gold gown with cartoon princess hair, accompanied by a mini-army of children dressed in tiny replicas of previous outfits worn by the star.
She later toned things down with a prim pair of black culottes and a cream and black lace high necked fitted top, before changing into her bodysuit for the performance of Wide Awake.
She debuted the tune at the Billboard Awards in May with an elaborate performance in Las Vegas which saw her lowered onto the stage on a swing wearing a wedding dress.
She was then thrown across the stage as a long haired groom tried to catch her.
Cartoon character: Katy could've stepped straight out of a Marvel comic on the red carpet
Princess of Power: Katy knows how to make an entrance
Gothic: Katy complemented her new darker look in this super surreal ensemble
The lyrics clearly relate to the breakdown of her 14 month marriage in December last year.
She sings: 'I'm wide awake. I was in the dark, I was falling hard with an open heart. How did I read the stars so wrong? I was dreaming for so long. I wish I knew then what I know now. I wouldn't dive in, I wouldn't bow down.'
She even hints in the song that the marriage was over for a while.
'Not losing any sleep, I picked up every piece and landed on my feet. Need nothing to complete myself. I am born again, outta the lion's den. I don't have to pretend. The story's over now, the end.'
Toned down temptress: This is as close to the real Katy as you can possibly get
Demure: Katy toned it down in this outfit, and looked lovely
Tonight there was no wedding dress, but the imagery was just as telling as Katy appeared to be reborn as a beautiful butterfly.
Wearing the nude body stocking in which she would collect her big award, the singer looked vulnerable and delicate yet wore a defiant expression as she belted out her paeon to heartbreak.
Around her twirled those beautiful wings, which acted as an armour, as well as that indicator of rebirth.
Mr Brand, it appears your ex-wife is still trying to tell you something.
Strategically placed: Katy's modesty was preserved by carefully placed crystals
Singing it out: The lyrics to Wide Awake pertain to Katy's split with Russell Brand
Hanging on the telephone: Carly Rae Jepsen was the night's big winner, and gave a colourful performance herself
