She hasn’t revealed whether she is expecting a boy or a girl - or indeed whether she even knows the sex of her unborn child.

But Sarah Michelle Gellar is clearly enjoying all the feminine fun and thrills that come with bringing up a little girl. 

The 35-year-old looked very content as she travelled to collect her daughter Charlotte from dance class in Sherman Oaks, California, today.

Flaunting her huge belly in a knitted top, jeans and flat pumps, Gellar smiled as she walked inside the building with her colourful keys and mobile phone in hand.

The actress – who is thought to be almost five months pregnant - covered up her eyes with aviator sunglasses as she joined other parents on the ballet lesson run.

The screen star emerged with her brunette daughter – who she has with fellow actor husband Freddie Prinze Jr.

The two-year-old and her tiny friend looked pretty in pink as they bounced through the parking lot.
Charlotte seemed thrilled to be swung by the arms by her mother and another adult. 

Her father Freddie was missing in action as his daughter learned the elegant steps because he is currently filming a still untitled movie with Mena Suvari.

He met Sarah on the set of 1997 horror film I Know What You Did Last Summer and tied the knot in a beach ceremony in Mexico in 2002.

'You need to be at a point in your life where you can give up anything and everything for a child,' Gellar said shortly after Charlotte’s birth. 'Every day I look at her and I am in awe.' 

'The minute you have a baby, everyone asks, "When are you going to have another one?"'
