Winning a place in the charts is nothing new for Adele – but this one is harder to break into than most.
The British singer has made it on to an international list of the highest-paid stars under 30.
The 24-year-old earned some £23million between May 2011 and May 2012, according to American magazine Forbes.
It put her at number six in a top ten which is dominated by female celebrities, with American singer Taylor Swift taking first place with £37million.
Teenage pop star Justin Bieber was the only male in the top  five, which also features US singers Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
Adele has overtaken Twilight actor Robert Pattinson as the highest-placed British celebrity, after he made £17million in the past year.
Experts looked at album and concert sales, advertising endorsements and film deals to calculate the figures.
Adele had the world’s biggest selling album last year with 21, which shifted more than 17million copies worldwide – including four million in the UK.
The success of the album, which includes the hit single Rolling In The Deep, helped her earn six Grammy awards, two Brits and two Ivor Novello awards. Last month the singer announced that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Simon Konecki, 36.
She wrote on her website: ‘I am delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together.

‘I wanted you to hear the news direct from me. Obviously we’re over the moon.’
The couple started dating last summer and moved in together earlier this year.
Charity boss Mr Konecki,  who attended £30,000-a-year Eton College, also has a five-year-old daughter with his ex-wife Clary Fisher.
