She’s always wows on the red carpet in her signature vintage style and now Eva Mendes has put her fashion credentials to good use.
The actress has launched her first fashion collection with New York & Company, stepping out for the grand unveiling on Wednesday night.
The 39-year-old naturally chose a chic outfit from her own line for the fashion bash, looking elegant in a monochrome ensemble.

The Place Beyond The Pines star chose a figure-hugging Jacquard pencil skirt and fitted white blouse for her big night.
The actress accessorised with a stunning statement necklace, which is also from her collection. The intricate gold and white piece was paired with some simple gold hoop earrings and Saint Laurent shoes and bag.
Eva looked delighted to show off her first foray into fashion at the launch in New York, after working on the 55-piece collection of clothes and accessories for months.

'I never thought I would be a designer, if that's what I am,' Eva told Lucky Magazine recently of her new venture. 'And at first, I wasn't sure I could do it.'
The actress’ mum, also named Eva, and other female members of her family convinced her she could do it.
'They were like, "Evie, you have to do this!"' says Eva, who adds that her first two seasons were inspired by them.

Eva's designs are intended to reach women of all shapes, with the actress insisting she wants to help women feel confident in their style choices:
'My customer is not a fan of the way tabloids cover celebrity style: "Who wore it best." It's disastrous for women's self-esteem. With fashion, there is no right or wrong.'
And the star’s fashion taste doesn't always come with a high-priced label.

Her line starts at just $24.95 for one of her essentials – a seamless camisole and goes up to $159.95 for her statement piece, the Milano one button coat in a striking pale pink.
There’s also jewellery pieces, belts and Eva’s number one must-have, a colourful printed scarf, which are all priced at around $20.
'I love a bargain,' Eva says. 'Of course, to feel beautiful, you have to have healthy self-esteem and work on yourself, and that can be hard,' she maintains.

'And there are days when I don't feel great, but I put on my favourite dress and throw a scarf in my hair, and it makes all the difference.
'Hopefully my line can do that for women. Even if you're not feeling your best, let's admit it, the right outfit – it helps.'
