But even someone as naturally glamourous as Kate, made sure she pulled out all the stops with her outfit for the announcement of an $8 million Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis in China - the biggest single investment ever in the movie and TV industry.
The 40-year-old was dressed head-to-toe in white tweed, with a cropped short-sleeved top, a pencil skirt and a black waistband.

Wearing only a pair of black drop earrings, the British actress accompanied the ensemble with a pair of pointed red stiletto heels and simple a radiant, sun-kissed glow.
She fixed her hair in a classically 60s bouffant, fixing it up with a black headband to hold it in place, whilst leaving out some delicate loose curls to frame her face.
Kate shook hands with fans during the red carpet event to promote Wanda Group's proposed film park.

Kate was joined by actor Leonardo DiCaprio among others at the celebrations of the proposed 'motion picture city,' to be build on the outskirts of Qingdao, Shandong province on Sunday.
The film studio will be located in the western part of the Chinese coastal city of Qingdao, and is to be built with a total investment of 50 billion yuan ($8.1 billion), announced the Wanda Group.
It will cover 376 hectares (900 acres) on the outskirts of the city, famous for its beer, and the yet-to-be constructed facilities will include 20 studios, the world's first underwater studio, a convention and exhibition complex, a shopping mall with an indoor amusement park, seven resort hotels and even a yacht club with 300 berths.

Oriental Movie Metropolis has also been billed as the largest in the world amid hopes that it will produce some 200 films per year. 
'The Oriental Movie Metropolis is a major step in China's strategy to become a global cultural powerhouse,' Wang told the said in an interview on the sidelines of Sunday's ceremony.
The site, bought by China's richest man, property developer Wang Jianlin, 58, founder of Dalian Wanda Group, has been billed as China's answer to Hollywood, and even attracted the likes of John Travolta, Nicole Kidman and Catherine Zeta-Jones to the city.

Welsh star, Catherine Zeta-Jones, 43, looked radiant and wore a wide smile at the event, wearing a floor length, silver and red flower patterned gown.
She carried a red clutch bag and wore her raven black hair in loose waves and wore minimal jewellery, wearing delicate drop earrings and what looked to be her wedding ring.
Nicole Kidman, 46, also looked elegant in her chosen androgynous look for the event, wearing a sheer black shirt, white jacket and black trousers.
She tied her long red locks back into a tight bun and accessorised with just a pair of gold hoop earrings.

Representing the Hollywood actors was none other than Leonardo DiCaprio, who looked dapper in a tailored black suit, white shirt, black tie, and black patent loafers.
He slicked his blonde hair back and sported a small goatee whilst he signed autographs for fans at the event.
John Travolta, 59, also could not be left out of the momentous occasion, turning up to the event looking smart in a black suit, blue shirt, black tie and black loafers and was clean-shaved for the landmark announcement.
