Ivanka Trump set pulses racing at the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday.

The 33-year-old businesswoman was ravishing in a red mermaid gown as she cosied up to her businessman husband, Jared Kushner, on the red carpet on Capitol Hill.

The daughter of Donald Trump highlighted her modelesque figure in the strapless dress featuring a sweetheart neckline and a dramatically layered skirt.

She glammed up the look with a red clutch and a dazzling necklace, with her hair woven in luxurious waves.

Prior to attending the official dinner, Ivanka mingled at the Yahoo News/ABC News White House Correspondents' dinner reception pre-party at the Washington Hilton.

It was date night for her and Jared, 34, who are parents to Arabella, three, and Joseph, 18 months. The couple wed in October 2009.

It seems Arabella intends to follow in her parents' footsteps.

Ivanka tweeted on Friday: 'Arabella randomly told me that she wants to be a "shark trainer" when she grows up...I guess she's planning to go into business!'

On Friday, Ivanka and Jared went sightseeing in Washington D.C., visiting the Old Post Office building, which will soon be transformed into a luxury Trump hotel, coming 2016.

Meanwhile, Ivanka has recently accomplished a new goal, completing her first half marathon last Sunday.

She announced the plan on her website on January 13, explaining: 'We're choosing to see this race as a challenge on our horizon, an opportunity to support each other as a team and overcome an obstacle that, to some of us, seems incredibly insurmountable.'

She then pledged to spend the months leading up to the race sharing a plan so that readers could follow along and train as well.

The mother-of-two partnered up with Olympic athlete John Henwood to provide tips and hacks, as well as nutrition advice and strength training exercises to get ready for the big day.
